By Mary Wolf and Dorothy Miller
“Historic trauma” is what we call the impact that events in our history have on the well-being of children and families within the LCO community today: events such as the flooding of Post, the boarding school era, etc.
A series of events are scheduled at the LCO College concerning historical trauma. It is to create awareness through education and art, by identifying how trauma and unresolved grief and loss impacts our lives today, also how we can work together to heal as an individual, a family, and a community.
