Township supervisor Gene Adkins says efforts to get public safety agreements in place “have hit a last-minute snag” ahead of next month’s planned opening of a new casino near Battle Creek.
But tribal spokeswoman Donna Halinski said July 10 the agreement is not needed before the casino opens.
