Oglala Sioux Police Chief Everett Little White Man says a female officer who shot a man on the Pine Ridge Reservation did not immediately resort to using her gun.
The chief says the officer first tried to Mace 25-year-old Robert Little to subdue him, but it didn't work. Little allegedly had resisted arrest and assaulted the officer, who hasn't been named.
