A new coalition is speaking out against a referendum in November’s election asking voters if they want to allow a new casino in western Maine.
The coalition calls itself Citizens Against the Oxford Casino. It includes the Hollywood Slots casino in Bangor; the Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs; the Maine Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association; the Maine Harness Horsemen’s Association; the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township; and the Greater Bangor Convention and Visitors Bureau.
