Cupcakes are gaining popularity and this is a great way to top them. Even my bfren who wasn't too keen on spice cake with cream cheese frosting went bonkers over it.

8 oz cold cream cheese
5 tablespoons softened butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar (or more)

Beat the first three ingredients until well combined. Then beat in the powdered sugar a little at a time. Taste it and if you need it sweeter or thicker, add more powdered sugar.

This is the silkiest, tastiest frosting I ever made.

Warning: Dont' lick the bowl. You'll end up eating half the cake! Ask me how I know.
