My bfren calls this hobo soup, so I guess you can throw anything in it that you want.
This is MUCH better the second day.
1 pound ground beef
1 onion
1 clove garlic, or dehydrated is fine - 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
1 can tomatoes (crushed, stewed, or whole)
1/8 to 1/2 pound spaghetti, broken in small pieces
Salt
Optional veggies: canned green beans, canned corn, fresh zucchini, mushrooms, fresh cabbage, potatoes, just about anything.
Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil, crumble the ground beef into the water. Start adding the other ingredients except the spaghetti and optional zucchini.
Turn it down and simmer for 30 minutes, then bring it to a boil again and add the spaghetti and zucchini.
Simmer again for about 30 minutes.
This is similar to macaroni soup but the spaghetti doesn't explode and fall apart so it's good to keep for extended periods.
Dip some garlic bread, top with parmesan, and it's DEELISH!!
