I too, recommend the box above, but if you need a lot to feed a crowd:

Brown 4 pounds of cubed fatty chuck roast in a BIG pot, and a little oil. Add enough water to cover, a palmful of salt, and boil for an hour.

Quadruple the following recipe: http://www.powwows.com/gathering/sho...hlight=noodles Be sure to use enough flour to dust the rolling-out surface, cuz this is what will tighten it up (thicken).

After making sure there is enough water to cover and the meat is tender, add the noodles, stirring well, cuz there won't be much water for them to boil in. They cook quickly, so this won't take long.

Optional seasonings: diced onions, onion powder, garlic, garlic powder, pepper....to taste.
      ...it is what it is...

                buffalo stomach
                by hawkin
I'm working on restoring a piece that is a buff stomach
that has an elaborate quilled top. The piece has been
attacked by mice and is torn and chewed pretty bad on
one side. I'm trying to find a replacement stomach that
is tanned. Then I can attach it to the quilled...

I have just stepped back onto the journey that I began almost twenty years ago. I am attending my first gathering of Storytellers and will in the spring attend my first Powwow ever. For a wedding gift I received a choker from my husband and would like to wear it to the gathering of Storytellers, but...

It's that time again, and to go along with it, a BRAND NEW DIET.

Well...new to me, but probably not new to my ancestors. The Ketogenic Diet. The Inuit, the Bison people of the plains, and the African cattle herders all ate this way for millenia, along with many other traditional societies....
