Visitor Messages

The User name: Redtail Pm'd me the other day saying that she had been trying to leave me a visitor message in my profile. I have received messages from other users with no problems and she (Redtail) has left messages for other users.

I don't know if it is just her in my profile or if this could be happening to other's maybe. I don't have anyone blocked or on my ignore list.LOL So there shouldn't be a reason that some can and other's can't.LOL

And I don't know if this could be happening to other's too.

Yes, the very day that Redtail couldn't post, Begs tried and she had no problem with it at all. And I've received a few other's since and before.

Okay, I'm confused here. They need to have so many posts to post a visitor message to me? But they've been posting visitor messages to other's with no problem apparently.

But I haven't had one since the 31st, but that could simply be that no one left one.LOL

Is there a way to delete the old visitor messages? I have like three pages of old messages, but when I delete them they don't go away.lol...

All I get is

Profile name (person leaving the msg) Time and Date

"This message has been deleted by native.nation."

Is there a way to completely erase it....

Oh and I just double checked and she had left a visitor's message to me twice before, so it just came up in the last week or so. But I don't know how that works.LOL

What is happening Paul is that the "submit" but does not show on the person' page that I am tryin to leave a comment or visitor message on so therefore I can not leave a message.

I can't even see the "view conversation" button between two peeps at times.

Then at other times the whole page shows up and so therefore the buttons show as well.

What's happening is what this post was initially about, and it hasn't changed. At least half of the visitors message area (including the "submit button") is covered up by the right side columns. You can't read an entire message, and you can't submit a new one to someone else. I can't post a screenshot because I'm a total computer idiot, and I don't want to download another browser (Firefox) just to fix it. It should work on IE, as that's the most common. I've learned to live with it, but it really is annoying.

I think that he means when you copy and past the screen on here as a picture, that's what I think.

"Copy & paste" doesn't work. I tried it and it didn't show any columns, photos, etc. All it pasted was typed words, so it didn't show the problem.

You can try this to get a screen shot. It may not be the most straightforward, but it seems to work for me.

1) Make sure you are seeing what you want to capture on the screen.
2) Press "Shift" and "PrtScn" buttons at the same time. And release.
3) Open the Paint application. (Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Paint)
4) From the "Edit" menu in Paint, select "Paste" If "Paste" isn't active then go back and try step 1 and 2 again.
5) At this point you should be able to see the screen capture inside the Paint application.
6) From the "File" menu in Paint, select "Save" and save it as JPG file someone in your computer where you can find it again.
7) Close Paint.
8) Come back to this thread in PW.com. Do a quick reply then "Go Advanced" from the quick reply.
9) Type your text to Paul.
10) Click on the the paperclip symbol next to the happy face (not in the Smiles section but at the top of the grey box)
11) You should now see a Manage Attachements window where you can browse to find that Paint picture you just saved.
12) On the far right side of the Manage Attachments window you can click "Upload" to load the screenshot.
13) You can close the Manage Attachements window and "Submit Reply" to post your message with the attachment.

The above may not be prefect and there may be other ways to do this, but this is what I've grown used to.
