  • Anyone else finding the site a little glitchy tonight?

It's just little things, like the letters and smiles looking a bit fuzzy, the pages loading kind-of funny, or the letters showing up a bit too far apart or a bit too close together when making a post.
Is the site being tweeked a bit, currently?
Could this be some kind of programming error?

          A likely story.

And different kinds of glitches keep happening.
              Like posts dissapearing, and reappearing.
              I pity Paul.
All that mods have to worry about is little things like explaining stuff to the posters, sometimes issuing warnings or bannings, nuking threads...etc.
But when you're at the top of the food-chain, the reponsability for maintaining the site is all yours. If something technical goes wrong, it's on you.
If there's spammers on the site, you get the blame.
If adult pop-ups start appearing on your site, you're the one posters complain to.
And you have to worry about the crazy PM complaints like "This site was supposed to be a family site! I don't want my child to see those filthy pop-up ads! I'm may take legal action!"
And of course, you're the one who has to constantly keep the site's anti-spyware/malware/adware software up-to-date. And if some malware gets through, and starts stealing your posters' personal info, it's your head on a platter.
And then you're like "Oh man; I should have listened to mom, and gone to med school."
Then you go and bang your head against the wall for awhile.

I couldn't get the site to run on IE today. I'm having to use firefox. Kept freezing and got a notice that IE couldn't run the site and IE would then shut down.

                Anyone else?

Not sure what was going on yesterday.

                  Are things better today?

Sorry, had to take it back.

I was playing the word games on the Chit-Chat/Games & Polls forum. When I finished my last reply, I clicked on "Games & Polls" up on the page where the "welcome" box is and IE dumped me again. I'm back on firefox now. Don't know if its something I'm doing, but have strong suspessions its IE.
