Who are the Wannabes?

Wannabes are everywhere. Mixed bloods, neither fish nor fowl.

1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 bloods. You see them at Pow Wows, people with pale white skin with blonde hair and blue eyes. Also Africans with black-as-coal dark skins.

Three drops of Indian blood 3 or 4 generations removed. Great grandmother was a cherokee princess.

For someone who sets out that she doesn't hang out much on the net ..82 entries with your name pop up including a site that is frequented by the French lady who charges for her dancing exhibits.

I lived in Nova Scotia for almost 20 years on and off and the Mi'kmaq people that I knew there were kind and gentle souls. Yes, there was some clashes with the mainlanders and the islanders but for the most part only a few cranky people surfaced.

So if I called some of my old buddies, the Keptins, would they really know who you are? I have worked with the council of elders out there and I don't recall seeing your name anywhere on the list. I've gone into every penitentiary out there with the elders and I don't recall you being mentioned. I don't recall you being around for the Marshall Commissions or the Residential School healing circles. The elders I know and have worked with in the Maritimes who are Mi'kmaq and Maliseet are all committed to their communities and work themselves into the ground trying to keep the kids from killing themselves and each other. When we were setting out the curriculum for the Indigenous Law program, I don't remember seeing you there. Did you only become an elder when you left the Maritimes?

You want to talk about shacks? The entire maritimes is riddled with them, some of the poorest people in Canada live there, your people are not immune to rez poverty, unemployment and despair... yet you sell your wares all over the internet and claim you are an elder and then deem yourself the one to inform others that their people are damaged and that somehow you have escaped that damage. I guess you have forgotten just how long that road to Rexton really is.

Living in Montana, I know plenty of indians who don't have enough of one tribe to qualify for enrollment in any tribe but are definently still indian. Some of them don't "speak to elders", does that make them bad indians? .....Indians don't always fit into a nice perfect mold either. None of that makes these indians any less indian, kwim?

I know a black gentleman that can't stand rap or even R&B...does that make him less black? I am best friends with a lady that weighs over 400 lbs and dresses like she weighs 150....does that make her skinny?

75% or more N.A.s starting from the Caribbean sea across USA way up the north pole are mixed with some other race, even the ones that "claim" 100% blood are mixed between tribes, and if they look skin deep there is some European in them.
So, according to this good for nothing trolls, the only real N.A.s are from central plains going west???

It's not a east vs the others but I heard often enough that the tribes out east are wannabes and the rest of you are it and did the fightin, again, we did the fightin before you, you did the fightin after us and in the end what did we all get out of it???? a broken-down race that has succumbed to treachery and the fight still goes on everyday.
