I can't get photos (JPEG files) to embed in the posts.

Are you doing the 'manage attachments' thingy? Then they'll show up as thumbnails.

Or you can put them on a website somewhere, Flickr or whatever, and use the Insert Image icon...that way they will truly 'embed'.

Nevermind, I see it's not working...there's no Insert Image icon and even when you type in the right code, it's not embedding.

I think it's a job for............PAUL G!!

or you can type without the spaces: [ img ] www.picturelink.jpg [ / img ]
