PowWows.com Holiday Charity Fund Raiser

Over the past few years this site has continued to grow. I believe that it is time, as a Community, for us to give something back!

This Holiday Season, let's show others the power PowWows.com and make a donation.

The goal of this year's fund raiser is to collect $1,000 for the American Indian College Fund.

Contributions can be made several ways including by mail, Amazon.com, and PayPal.com.

Amazon.com and PayPal.com will charge a small transaction fee for each donation.

Below are the links to donate through Amazon.com.

Donations will be accepted until Jaunuary 1, 2003.

The Amazon.com link does show how much was collected on Amazon. I'll also post totals here as we go along.

question: why is there a $4 "shipping and handling" fee to make a donation through PayPal? I use PayPal myself to sell my crafts, so I know this fee was set up by you, not PayPal. What's the deal?

I didn't know that it was showing up.

That is my standard fee for shipping for shirts, hats, etc.

I'll see if I can take that off for donations.

I can't get the PayPal method to work without the shipping, sorry.

Sometime in the next few days, however, I'll have the PowWows.com Store open. You'll be able to donate through the store without having a PayPal or Amazon account.

Is there an update on how we are doing on this?

I want to thank everyone for thier donations. We have raised $200 for the American Indian College Fund. Donations came in of all sizes and each is appreciated. Thanks for your support of this project.

While we did come short of the goal, I believe this was a very successful fund raising campaign. Not only did we raise $200, but we have established a program of selling crafts made by the members here for charity. This program will begin later this month and will be an ongoing source of fund raising.

Again thanks to all of you for your support.
