    Thank you for taking the time to fill out our survey. The survey recieved over 1,400 responses!

    I have read each and every comment left on the survey. And I greatly appreciate the thoughts and ideas you shared. There are more ideas than we can ever incorporate into However, I've complied a list of the best ideas and have already begun implementing them on the site. And remember I'm always looking for ways to improve the site, so please email me anytime you have a suggestion.

    The top priority is to work on speeding up the pages. A major project has been started to optimize all the pages on I hope to have this project complete in February. You can also look forward to a new feature on the site to track Pow Wow contest results. For those of you that are new to Pow Wows and have questions, we've opened a new forum just for you! The Spectator forum is your place to post questions and talk to others who like to visit Pow Wows. Each new post here will have to be approved. So you can feel free to post any and all your questions without recieving responses that don't answer your questions! And there will be many other improvements and new additions to the site in the coming months thanks to your ideas.

    Others left responses and questions about features that already exist on the site. With the recent growth and changes on the site, I realize that the site can be somewhat confusing now. I'm working on new Frequently Asked Question pages to futher explain all of the features of

    Pow Wow Calendar
    The Pow Wow Calendar from features hundreds of Native American Pow Wow listing from across North America. Find Pow Wows near you, browse for upcoming events, or add your event to our calendar!Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter or follow our social media pages, to get updated Pow Wows sent to you daily.

    The calendar has many features already included that were requested in the survey. These include the ability to print a list of events, sort by state, and view the flyer of the event. While viewing a list of Pow Wows on the Calendar you can click on the arrow next to the column names to sort the events by that column. The Pow Wow Calendar has recently been upgraded with new and improved features. You can now view a map of the Pow Wows and get a map of driving directions. We are adding another new feature to the maps to show you hotels, resturants and other local ammenities near each Pow Wow.

    The My Pow Wow feature is also a new feature. This allows you to save events to your own personal calendar. You can add events by click the + sign next to a Pow Wows listing or by clicking the Add Your Name link. Your personal calendar can then be printed or downloaded into Outlook or other calendar programs. To access you My Pow Wows, visit:

    Pow Wow Radio
    Pow Wow Radio - Your source for the best Pow Wow Music! With over 1,500 songs, you can listen to hours of Pow Wow music. Follow us on Spotify to get the full playlist!\u002d\u002dDRdoRPU0kXg

    Our online radio station has been update with new songs! The playlist now features over 1,000 songs!

    Gathering Forums
    Hubz, the Instant Messaging program, is still on the forums. However it is no long turned on by default. If you want to use our Instant Messaging, you need to change the style of the forums. This selection can be found at the bottom left of any forum page.

    If you need to change your username, you can do that using Points on the forums. Or you can send me an email, and I can help you change it.

    Advertising on
    The advertising on is our main source of revenue. We work hard to have the best ads displayed possible. This past fall removed all Pop Up ads from site. We have also worked with all of our advertising networks to ensure the security of the ads displayed. There is no spyware put on your computer from or our ads.

    Several of you commented that you still see Pop Up ads while browsing the internet. You could possibly have some type of spyware installed that causes you to see Pop Ups. You can download a free spyware removal tool from Microsoft:

    The Galleries at allow you to upload photos, videos, and audio files. Upon the request of several responses, we've added more upload capacity for everyone at the Galleries. All photos uploaded to are stamped with our logo. This prevents people from using photos on other or claiming them as thier own. Other copyright protection is also in place on the files. And while this may prevent you from saving the photos to your computer, this is important to protect the work of all the photographers that upload to

    Many people also asked about how to edit photo files to crop, rezise and retouch. We recommend using a free program from Googled called Picasa. This program will allow you to manipulate photos including reducing the file size without changing the dimensions of the photo. You can download this program from:

    You can use this list to view what events you'll be attending, download them to your Outlook and more.
