Stacey, I can only tell you what I'd do in your case, me, I'd go ahead and keep scratching that out and write in what you think is correct, if they're going to "box" a person in, make it the correct box afterall. If we all have to fit a category nicely, list them. But that's not advice from the brain side of me, but from the heart. Sometimes they don't fit on the same page.

Which reminds me of a story
When i was in the navy we had initials for everything
as a matter of fact they have a class on just what the initials stood for
Like HS-10 which actually was short for Helantisubron-10 which was short for Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron-Ten, which was my first Squadron. Or CINC Pac Fleet which stood for Commander in charge Pacific Fleet
My favorite one was HMIC

Well when i got out of the Navy and into Civilian Aviation the initials and acronyms did not stop! oh no they got worse!

Like EFIS and ECAS, DFDAU, DFGS, LVDT, DFDR, CVR, LRU, and on and on
Those are systems or the black boxes themselves and speaking of black boxes why do the news people insist on calling the Flight Recorder a black box!!! It is actually a DFDR or Digitial Flight Data Recorder the newest types record 81 parameters and they have always been painted ORANGE with a WHITE Stripe
ANd the other box that records crash information is the CVR or Cockpit Flight Recorder which not only records the last 30 min of the flight deck sounds but any radios they were transmitting on.

Which reminds me of another story the word Cockpit is no longer used in any manual
Apparently woman's groups and advocates have create such a fuss they changed any male gender wording in the Manuals and Flight Manuals to more benign or "non-gender specific" wording
So Cockpit is now Flight Deck
MILLIONS were spent changing every manual ever printed

Wow Josiah, how much coffee have you chugged this morning? ....kidding....I like cockpit instead of "flight deck." Boring.

I'm a happy little state worker ready to start her day. It's friday, we were paid this week, no work for the next few days, powwow tomorrow and chocolate milk in hand now. Yippee!!!!
