Got one hangin around right now and boy I'll tell u he's just about the sweetest thing....a lil rough round the edges but so polite and thoughtful. Nothin like these rude azz boys in Cali. He says he didnt know he was such a nice guy till he got to California....

I'm glad everyone had a good weekend.. Stroud is this weekend and we'll be headed to that one. Does anyone have any info on it? Head staff, grand entry times stuff like that.

I dunno what's up with that! I was born and raised here and I'm not rude in the slightest. Sometimes a lil shy is taken 4 rude, but never rude! Crazy. I don't fit in here though....maybe thas cause I was raised by them Okies huh? lol

Directions: Go East from Stilwell approxiamately 2.6 miles on Hwy 100 til you see the sigh thats says Bell. Turn right just past the Rock Springs Church. Stay on blacktop for approxiamately 3.8 miles. The pow-wow will be on your left.

OR

Go South from Stilwell approxiamately 5 miles on Hwy 59. When you see the sign that says Bell, turn left(east). Stay on blacktop for approxiamately 3 miles. The pow-wow will be on your right

will probably in end up in Tulsa for the powwow....EAP7. It is indoors with AC, plus my family lives there so it is a good plus. Would love to go to Otoe but it is so hot and such a long drive for me....can't wait to hear who will win all the Straight dance contest there. I will be in Seattle the week before so if I am not too tired will probably end up in Tulsa.

I'm trying to make it up to Tulsa for Friday night. My Dad lives up there so I can swing by and see him while I'm up that way. EAP~I'll drop you a line if I can make it. Mrs WhoMe is supposed to be in town at that time, too. I hope I can make it!!

We'll be heading to Stroud this coming weekend then to Tulsa powwow the weekend after. Can't wait to daaaaance! Btw, some bad news for those who've been coming to the powwow here in Checotah. It's been cancelled due to lack of interest in our indian community. Such a bummer too! Plans had been under way--- had the head staff chosen, money was already in the budget, the powwow was going to be moved into town, a nice big place to have the powwow in case of rain, and all that, but some in the indian community felt that it wasn't their culture and decided they wanted nothing to do with it. It has been actually passed during the June meeting and someone cried foul over it during this month's meeting and so they wanted a re-vote and it lost.

That is too bad about Checotah! It was a great dance, good turnout. Bummer!

We too will probably be at the Tulsa dance. Who has the details on it? Would love to go to Otoe, but it is toooooo hot!

I'm sorry to hear that Notso....I enjoyed gourd dancing there last year, and being close to the lake was nice too. Let your family know if there's another one next year I'll be there to lend my support.

again.



Our flippen pool almost flooded over the sides last night. Did you all hear about Seminole county where they got 8 inches in a few hours. That's crazy. Poor okies.
