The NEW Oklahoma History Center will have a Special Grand Opening Preview for the American Indian Community (before it opens to the public) on Thursday, November 17, 2005, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.! Over 700 invitations have been sent out to Oklahoma Indian elected leaders, tribal councilmen, community leaders, ceremonial leaders and many individuals who will be featured in the Indian Gallery Exhibit!
The new Oklahoma History Center is located on the NE corner of 23rd and North Lincoln Boulevard (Across from the Oklahoma State Capitol).
Indian people have been involved in all aspects of Oklahoma's history and will have a special place in the following exhibits within the four galleries: Transportation, Military, Sports, Performing Arts, Wild West, Diversity, Oil and Commerce.
