I've done something like that too. I took Spanish in Jr. High and French in High School. I kept mixing up my Spanish and French: "Halo/Hola" and I started out counting in French and somehow switched to Spanish numbers halfway through.Originally posted by yaahl View Post

Thanks you very much GB and neling for the java. It's funny my mother always spoke to me in Haida, my dad spoke to me in Tuchone, but the language I think in is Tutchone. When I was a child, I'd get confused and answer each parent in the opposite language. Wellllll........ when I was a kid... we were cleaning up the gold fish bowl one night... my little brother thought the blender was a good place to keep the fish until we finished... my older brother arrived home after his wrestling team practise and always had a vile concoction of sardines and tomato juice to pump up the protein (or so he claimed - I think he was just trying to gross us out). LOL, now thats a good story, especially cause he didn't know that he drank a gold fish. Did he not look into the blender jar to see if it was even clean or did he just not care... LOL.
You should tell him about it next time he is drinking something that was made in a blender, like a daquari or pina colada or milkshake etc...CERN may have discovered the Higgs Boson but...

I had a pillow once. I was dreaming that there was a lovely concoction of whipped cream and prunes just waiting for me to eat it. I knew I was dreaming, so I bit it quick! I've done that before (re: languages, not frogs or pillows!) When I studied German in college my professor had to stop me a number of times. I'd be saying something in German, and then without realizing it switch to Danish. I'd be blabbing along not even aware I wasn't speaking German anymore!
Sorry you're not feeling well, G&B. I thought I was coming down with strep earlier this week. Woke up Tuesday with a soar throat and swollen glands in my neck. I looked like a hairy frog! (I wear a beard & 'stache)
