Merry Christmas folks!

We're going ice fishing tomorrow with friends and maybe do a little skating and cremating some garlic deer sausages on the bonfire. Ice is good.. it's 24 inches - temps have been in the minus 15-25c since November so no rotten ice. Weather is calling for a clear but cold day - man it's good to be alive.

BTW, we are having fish on the menu tomorrow...lol

yaahl you are throwing down in that bustle thread....only thing that i don't like is that this guy seems to change his story everytime he posts....he's getting to be a runner up to wannabe of the year...that guy was a self-proclaimed ojibwe muslim....wow....don't remember the guys name but he created quite a stir lol

Dinner for tonight is lovely winter Brook Trout that was caught yesterday. We had so much fun getting them.

I did break my winter fishing/hunting boots yesterday...after 15 loyal years of keeping my feet warm and dry they started to leak yesterday... they will have a proper burial... goodbye boots... I shall miss you. *sniff* I did find a replacement pair today that were on sale too!

As for the Bustle thread, he's now claiming to have a Cherokee wife and kidlets - he's also claiming to have read all about us during his studying us... like we're some lab experiment. *sheesh*

Mmmm, I love fish and I love ice fishing - at least the kind of fishing where you set out lines and check them periodically. I don't think I can do the sitting by the little hole for hours type fishing.

What little ice we have is pretty rotten. We've had typical fickle Wyoming weather - warm/cold/warm/freezing/sunny/snow/melt/refreeze.

We probably can't even ice skate for my granddaughter's birthday...have to go swimming instead.
