yeah me too. blueberries and cranberries. mom kept them in the freezer. we had the store bought kind but mom would tell us she would pick berries in alaska...which i bet were much more delicious

I live in Organic Valley, but still run over the the Plains to get Strawberries. They are just bigger n sweeter n juicer!!! I don't eat them like most. I might eat four little baskets a year. And it's usually at one sitting. Somebody gave me a bag of Navel oranges the other day and there's a lemon tree in the front yard next to the road.

My neighbor works a the local farmer's market n brings us stuff.

You're so lucky to live where they actually grow produce. We have to wait for it to be picked, packed, and shipped. So we don't get anything "fresh".

Hey, my mom was the nurse at a boarding school in Kodiak lol. Yes, go in late summer when the berries are ripe. LOL plus early summer is MUD season .
