Yeah, they are a big hit. As soon as I heard sloppy joes, I knew just one wouldn't be enough!

Cool bachata video. It reminds me a little of the cha-cha. Did you say somewhere you were learning to salsa?

      • I was wondering what bachata was!! Looks cool! I'll have another sloppy joe! And a big ice tea!

For dessert, I'm craving some pineapple upside down cake.

I used to be able to dance your basic American Waltz, but that's been quite a few years ago. In their younger days, both my parents used to teach dance, so they know all those dances: waltz, samba, cha-cha, foxtrot, swing, cotton-eyed joe, etc..

I did take some dance classes back when I was a teenager, though. But that was for "contemporary social dancing" (a.k.a. disco).

I think it'd be cool to learn salsa, samba, bachata, tango and all those other dances.

Dang, all this talk about dancin' has made me thirsty! Iced tea, please!

                          Yep, I've always been rhythmic!!!

Maybe it's all the mittel-europaisches blood in my veins, but I think it would be cool to ring in the new year at one of the annual balls in Vienna.

White tie. Ball gowns. Good food. Champagne. Dancing. Glittering surroundings! How fun!!!

                          • When I was younger, I thought all those old dances (where you actually held onto/touched your partner) were old-fashioned and boring. Now I've totally flipped. I see how most people dance now, and I just shake my head - no skill, no grace - just bouncing up and down. Dance floors just look like a big game of whack-a-mole! And don't even get me started on line-dancing!

If/when I get to Cuba for vacation, I intend to make some time for salsa lessons in Havana!

And, lately, I've really had this urge to learn how to C-Walk!

                                  Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has info on recipes for beef soup and frybread to feed 200-300 people at an outdoor powwow? My step-father passed and we would like to honor him with a feed but have never done this before. I would appreciate suggestions on recipes, ingredients, cooking times, equipment...

If you were forces to live on a small Iceland, big enough to do a powwow dance, alone, what would you bring with you?
There are off course fresh water and enough fruits to survive on your Iceland.
And it's hot enough to not fresh at night.
BUT no electricity, so sorry, you would...
