Again they are forecasting rain for us the next few days. I'll believe it when I get wet. We need it. The fire burning SW of us, on the edge of the swamp, is moving underground, into the peat. There to smolder until it decides to come up and flame up again. I am tired of smelling smoke. I keep waiting for the swamp to burst back into full fledged flames again. Come on, rain!!!Take nothing for granted. Life can change irrevocably in a heartbeat.

Hope you get the rain they promise ya, I know when the forrest up north get sparked it's always an easier battle when it's just the trees burning, but when it decides to burn the floor, we get real nervous, seems to happen 'bout every 1- to 15 years though, this years has been REAL dry so I'm actually surprised that we havn't had and wildfires, yet, at least any that I know of.
Coffee anyone?

Just wondering if anyone has info on recipes for beef soup and frybread to feed 200-300 people at an outdoor powwow? My step-father passed and we would like to honor him with a feed but have never done this before.
