Toolbox, I feel your pain. I briefly shared my I office with a 72" display that had been removed from the downstairs break room wall. I was afraid to move my chair. Last Weds 27 people came to my office in 2 hrs to report a weird smell -- brazing. Mercifully our system is no where near as complicated or critical as yours.
I am dreading the day they start tearing up the server room/old IT staff office. It is now occupied by a 17mi long, multi-plugged Hydra of tangled discarded ethernet cable. I'm afraid a contractor could get straggled.Comment

Straggled -- When the straggling contractor is strangled by a 17 mile long nest of ethernet cables. Stragglulated, Stragglulation.
