    I had to reach for my Pendleton this morning because it was too cool, it's warming up a bit but with the rain that is coming over the next few days it's going to be a rough week.

    I just hoovered down a buffalo chicken sandwich and some kettle chips and French onion dip.

    Manito Ahbee is good this year. Great drums and awesome dancers. They just wrapped up a jingle special (non-contest) for MMIW.

        Toolbox pray for me. AVFoundation and I are gonna have to go a couple rounds. My really ancient computer, with the video capture software for one of my test instruments, died. This has made today the day of reckoning with the deprecation of QTKit.

        I'm going in. If I don't come back for lunch....

              Interface Builder is evil! Evil, evil! And let me say it again, EVIL!

              I read the AVFoundation docs, then I browsed for tutorials with sample code. The sample code was, shall we say, thin on the ground, unless I wanted iPhone/iOS code in Swift. But, I found a tutorial and downloaded the code. It was simple; less than 30 lines of code....

              The damn download worked. The one I wrote, not so much. Round and round and round. Someone might have mentioned that in some releases of XCode, NSViews in Interface Builder come with a Core Animation layer already added. For other releases, you have to dig down into the 8th menu tab and find the little check box. Otherwise you get a freaking nil! Guess which one I had!

              And what acid-flashback-suffering, hippie leftover came up with the icons in XCode? The icon for configuring bindings looks like a Zen rock garden. The one on the CoreAnimation tab is the same one used on copiers to tell you to position the paper in the upper right corner of the glass! And two interlocked rings: Of course, stupid me! That is obviously the button to open an assistant editor window.

                Back to non-nerd simple american english ! LOL
                Warm and nice out so I dragged out the grill , big charcoal , burned it off good and my beautiful wife grilled burgers and dogs , potato salad and baked beans ! AWESOME !!! Still chasing Grandkids , so exerting lots of extra energy !
                I believe blood quantums are the governments way to breed us out of existance !

                      Potato salad, yummy. I haven't made potato salad in ages. Bless those Inca farmers for their hundreds of potato species.

                      Do you sprinkle cider vinegar on the potatoes before they cool? I cool my peeled potatoes in a ziplock with a few Tbsps of cider vinegar. Drain any excess, add tons of chopped dill pickles, diced onion, stone ground mustard, mayo, salt, ground black pepper and a shot of hot sauce....

                          LOL! I wondered why you weren't doing the grilling. Good thing you're not in TX. They'll take away your man card if you flunk the men-fire-food-beer thing. I think they might take you out of the gene pool if your let your wife smoke the brisket.

                            I know , I know ! I lived in Tx 11 years and when in Rome......I can , but just cause someone can , doesn't mean they should ! LOL I smoked my share of briskets ! LOL The easiest way I found to take care of that , was to have a couple "Good Ol' Boys" that love to stay up all night drinkin' and grillin' come over and I furnished ALL the beer ! Worked every time and I saved face !
