Oh , I wish for 40 degrees ! LOL It was 11 when I got up. wind chill of -4 ! Supposed to warm up overnight and be around 20 by morning ! High tomorrow will be a balmy 28 !then back down to around 4 ! Brrrrr......
On a happier note by this time tomorrow I should be a grandpa again ! "G" and his beautiful wife are scheduled in tomorrow for the much anticipated arrival of Samuel Raymond " baby G" ! Last night, this guest came into the lobby and started popping popcorn in the breakfast area microwave. She burned it so bad, the fire alarm went off, fire department came, guests were calling downstairs. It was a crazy mess. I got home this morning and hubbs asks me why I smelled like burned popcorn. It was one of those things that made me really rethink why I do this job.

Sound like your new Year's Eve plans with be as wild and crazy as mine, LOL. My plan is a big pot of chile and making a pie for company -- icy roads permitting -- tomorrow.
It's 24F here and we had freezing drizzle all morning. We're not getting above freezing until Weds. The local department of transportation is on Ice Farce -- uh -- Force One. The town (pop. ca 50,000) I grew up in had more snow plows/salt trucks than the DFW area (7.1 million). I would understand if this didn't happen two or three times a year, at some cost in lives. (And when you're hosting Pittsburgh and Green Bay for the Stupor Bowl some cost in prestige.)Comment
