Also, electronics aren't really that scary when you break them down into the simplest parts and build up from there. It's like building a house. You know you will need windows and doors, so you draw up plans and make measurements then you find the windows and doors that meet those specs and then you install them in whichever way makes sense be it nails, screws or some sort of concrete anchor.
Anyways, I'm going to hang out here in the corner and continue to burp up the spicy chicken sandwich I ate for lunch .

Why didn't I take DiffEq's in the engineering department? My prof in the math dept. was devoted to beating away anything as plebeian as an application that might have sullied his beautiful equations. As a stupid young undergrad, I didn't see the point in it. Now I kick myself almost every time I encounter a boundary value problem, which is a fairly frequent occurrence in QM, spectroscopy and optics, LOL. So, I'm doing an online course, to see if I can address some weaknesses.Comment

Because it didn't matter if you had taken them in the engineering department. The math course was held by the same math Prof as for the Math students. LOL.
I have not done DiffEq for decades now and the good old books as well as the many exercises I have already donated to the archive.
What I do now does not require higher mathematics than solutions of systems of linear equations.
