I hate morning when I wake up 20 to 30 minutes before my alarm goes off since it is just not enough time to go back to sleep. When I tried to go back to sleep my cat came over to me and started to do that kneading thing with his front paws while also sucking on my shirt. His front claws need to be clipped because they are now razor sharp.

LOL! We used to have a cat that did that to every doorstop she passed. It was almost like she was OCD about it. Luckily we don't have any of those doorstops in our house. My cat will pick at the carpet in front of a closed door. The cat is not allowed in my home office/lab/storage room so whenever I'm in there working he tears at the carper until I acknowledge him there. I usually just ignore him. I gave up fully closing the bathroom door since he will just pick at it and bash at the door until I let him in. He just sits on the counter and watches me brush my teeth and hair and then when I'm done wiping out the sink he plays in it.

Caffeine! Lots and lots of caffeine.
At 2:40am last night, my 15 year old, 14 lb male cat, Bucky, had an outbreak of kitty wildness. He went into the dining room -- the largest room in the house, where the placemats are the only sound absorbing objects -- at leapt from the built-in sideboard to the top of my dining room table. Apparently, he landed on one of those placemats and surfed off the table, onto the highly resonant hardwood floor over the pier and beam foundation. The crashing thud, rocketed me from a sound sleep in my warm bed to my cold ceiling. He followed this with a few toe loops and a triple Axel on the hardwoods, yodeling the entire time.
His adoring fan, Olivia the three-legged kitten, ran over my head on her way to present him with a prefect 10. The Siamese Princess, Ishtato, never one to miss a chance to chase Olivia, used my chest as springboard to leap straight from my bed to the dresser next to bedroom door. Her landing was spoiled by a pile of neatly folded, but not put away, laundry. She fell into the hallway in a shower of underwear and ran into the dining room, entangled in the leg hole of a pair of unmentionables. I staggered in to the dining room to rescue my panties from a certain shredding.
Bucky was still doing victory laps around the dining room table, singing a full throated rendition of the Alley Cat National Anthem. Olivia was hopping behind him, until she saw her nemesis Ishtato, trailing underwear. She stopped for about a half a second, weighing the risks, before she took off in hot pursuit. Ishtato tried to leap onto the sideboard to get away from Olivia. She slipped on the underpants and skidded into to a 1/2 gal enamelware pitcher, sending it spiraling to the floor, where it landed with a church bell like clang.
This was more than the cats could stand. They ran to their respective corners of the house; Ishtato finally escaping from the panties. I straightened up from picking up the pitcher and underwear, in time to see the my neighbor -- whose bedroom was separated from this brouhaha by a three foot wide side yard, a narrow driveway, and two thin, uninsulated historic home walls -- staring out his window and through my dining room window. Well , got up this morning , went and did chores early. We were going to look at flooring for the bedrooms. Turned on the computer and had a blue screen with the error message. "There was an error starting windows , please restart. Mouse nor keyboard worked. Turned it off at the switch and several more times to end up with the same result ! Grrrrr...." Restoring it from my restore disks and will subsiquintly lose everything on it ! Windows 10 all my files , addresses , pics , etc , etc.....I believe blood quantums are the governments way to breed us out of existance !

Just wondering if anyone has info on recipes for beef soup and frybread to feed 200-300 people at an outdoor powwow? My step-father passed and we would like to honor him with a feed but have never done this before.
