Mighty Dollar is the only place in a town of 65,000 where wife can get soft drink, Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper so we have to drive 7 miles to the other side of town to get 12 of them for her every week.

I am a little bit surprised.

Don't know, how many shops Mighty Dollar has. In the vincity where I live you will find Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Edeka often two times in villages of about 25.000 people.

Within 50 miles radius there at least 7 towns between 200 000 and 2.000.000 people and countless number of villages between 50.000 down to 200 people. You can't leave home without running into people, even in the forest or the fields.

I didn't think anyone had posted in this thread for a bit since I didn't get ant email notifications.

We've been having some wild weather. Had an F3 tornado hit about 10 miles (as the crow flies) from the house last Sunday afternoon. It hit the sub base, ad did some damage, but not to the subs-just the pine trees and a few vehicles. We're supposed to get another system like that through this weekend, too. Apparently El Nino is on a rampage. I know one thing, the cold and the low pressure systems are raising cain with my shoulder.

My work schedule is all messed up. I've got 6 days off in a row and then have to work a weekend. I dislike working weekends-the guests are...I"ll just say difficult to be polite. LOL!

Teebs, congrats on wading through the paperwork. It will get done-eventually. then you get to the "hurry up and wait" part. That would be the hardest part for me.

I have no idea how it is with your sort of tornado.

For getting problems with bones and wrist, I'll just need the 0 to 5 °C and our moisty weather, especially in the morning when getting up. LOL, as long as it hurts, you are alive is the saying.

Thanks. We are hoping to bypass most of the hurry up and wait party since we will be dealing with a ndn chid and the tribes and DHS are usually quick to want to get them out of the system. We shall see.

Decided on my 3 favorite Campbell’s condensed soups: Bean and Bacon, Minestrone, and Vegetable beef. I live a simple life. Maybe will lose weight.

I have a new outlook on life-got my new glasses today. LOL! Another stormy weekend courtesy of El Nino and my shoulder is aching with every barometer drop. The x-ray didn't show anything, so now I"m waiting to hear when my MRI is scheduled.

My shoulder is still hurting from the plumbing I did then the fall on it later. It makes you very thankful to have one arm that works.

Ever try Maruchan instant lunch? I do not have a microwave. I heat some water to a boil in a Black and Decker pot made for just heating water. Hot and Spivey Beef flavor Ramen Noodle Soup. I can find not stand so much “HOT”

Oh! Great! It is the kind of hot that sneaks up on you over about 5 bites. Your lips also start burning.

Ever try Maruchan instant lunch? I do not have a microwave. I heat some water to a boil in a Black and Decker pot made for just heating water. Hot and Spivey Beef flavor Ramen Noodle Soup. I can find not stand so much “HOT”

I quite like those ramen noodle soups and they are affordable. But I think they put glutamate into the food and glutamate is no one doing any good. I tend to eat the soup anyway but keep thinking of the glutamate in it and it spoils enjoying the soup.

Maruchen or Nissin said “no glutamate”. Or maybe both of them did. I did not get the runs so it may not have glutamate in it. Sometimes I get “Chinese Restaurant Syndrome”

Yesterday we had the first powder snow. Lasted only until midday.
