Thank you, yes. The phone company came out yesterday. I think they are going to charge me some unknown amount for clearing the short. The dang network box is 12ft up the back wall of my house. With my hips I don't climb ladders. So, I can't do the reset myself. Oh, well. But, I have a dial tone.


Supposedly, they're going to start digging for the water and sewer lines on the foundation for the studio. Unfortunately, we're going to take a real cold turn this weekend. The slab isn't going to get poured anytime soon. Oh, well.

Winter time. I have decided not to go out target shooting unless it is in the 50’s F. You cannot shoot in thick gloves. Your hands get cold taping the targets to mark them. Our humidity for two days was 80’s which made the 33 deg F feel like 23.

We have landline issues when it rains. The lines are buried and I think the dampness seeps into them. About 3 years ago, the phone company came out and "looked" and said the problem was between the box about halfway down the driveway and the house. If we wanted them to fix it the cost would be about $400. They wouldn't know for sure until they were done. We passed. LOL!

I finally got an MRI on my arm last Friday. That is not an experience I care to repeat. I see a doc on Wed. to see what's going on and what's to be done about it.

It seems, sometimes the notice doesn't go out if a new first reply is posted. Or the automatic spam filters delete the notice instead of forwarding even to the junk mail box.

Winter is here. I braved the blizzard and drove up to the lake to put some antifreeze in the boat scupper. It holds water. The visibility was about half whiteout. I made it back safe. Snow was just sticking and temp was just going down to 31F degrees. Tomorrow row nite below 20

Take nothing for granted. Life can change irrevocably in a heartbeat. Wife, Sue had cerebral hemorrhage age 74. Keeping her sedated. Nurse says fixed pupils not react to light. Waiting to see what neurosurgeon says. Neuro ICU. Yah weh is in control. Thank you, Jesus for everything. Brain is being pushed on by the blood and swelling. May need surgery to relieve the pressure.

Niawe thank you all of you. Shunt is placed through the brain tissue into the ventricle to relieve pressure from blood and ventricular secreted fluid that can no longer make its way to the spinal cord to be absorbed. The clotted blood in the ventricles blocks the outflow to the spinal cord. Since it is a ventricle on one side there is pressure on the other side of the brain and the CT scan shows a shift in the midline structures of the brain. Skull is a closed compartment. so non-circulating fluid and blood take up room where the brain should be. God bless you all. The creator, maneto, is in control of all things, so I know that he made us and loves us both. Doubts and the unknown must give way to that smaller than a mustard seed bit of faith that we have and that is from the creator also.

Fever either from insult to brain from stroke or from infection, so, they took her urinary catheter out and are looking for infection anywhere.

Well, the plumbing contractors found a mystery galvanized pipe in the yard. Surprise surprise. This is why I insisted they hand dig. It was apparently not connected to anything. They removed it.

I had a french drain put it 10 years ago. They found a weird black pipe that emerged at a 17 degree angle from my grade beam -- one side only -- and disappeared into my neighbor's yard.

I still have a crazy moment every now and again, where I imagine it is a leftover gas line from 50 years ago when the gas came in from the alley not the street. And it is still live. (This is ignoring the flag the gas company put in the back yard saying it's clear of lines.) I start imagining a huge leak, which of course I can't smell. And at best I'm going to have an infinite gas bill and at worst blow up. I've check the gas meter about 6 times this weekend. I did it at lunch after they told me the cut away the dead pipe, LOL.

Ain't being obsessive and anxious fun, LOL.

I forgot, I am getting old it seems, if you bought a Monument protected house.

Don't worry, if you really have a great gas explosion you might not even recognize in this life.

Gas should smell, if the company does right but it seems the company does not know what is right and what is wrong.

If it is similar to our procedures, than you have my deepest sympathy for dealing with officials in Monument protected affairs.
