Ashland City, TN first pow wow. Well done. They had some old hands there to run things. Plans for a yearly one in the spring. Met someone nice. She is an author. Reading her second book now. She said it would be fine to ask her out to lunch. Told her that 12 moon mourning period for wife would be over in Jan. I need to remember that there is no fool like an old fool.

We went down into the 60's for the first time since April, I think. I turned off the mini-split, opened all the windows in the studio and turned on the vent. Aired the entire place out. It's been five months since they finished construction but there is still a funky plastic/chemical smell to the place. I think things are still outgassing.


I'm trying to get a necklace finished in time for a show deadline tomorrow. I don't think I'm going to make it unless I take a day off from work. I still have 5-6 hours of polishing to do.

I hear ya. 94F Thursday afternoon, 42F Friday morning. We had frost on the shingles Saturday morning. Then it was 80F yesterday afternoon. I love autumn weather whiplash.

Nice Monday, no rain, sun shining, 23°C and a trip with Mom to the Black Forest.

I am getting old doing such a round trip in one day.

Rainy here today thanks to Nestor-whatever kind of system it was. We needed it, though. We are 10 inches behind in our rainfall.

I wish you could have some of ours ! Our yearly average is around 30 inches.....this year we're over 60 !

Nice day in Kentucky. Was shirt jacket cold this morning. Yesterday instead of going to Gadsden, Alabama pow wow I got the front yard graded with the 6 wheeler polaris and my little pull behind grader. That stump chipper robot left its caterpillar tracks in 10 inch deep ruts all over the yard. I finally got most of the humps and ruts a bit more flat. Now I have to get the lawn people to lime the front treeless yard. Those wood chips from 9 stumps are very acidic.

Saw where a tornado touched down in north Dallas ! Keep many of our members in our prayers ! Ol'C , Nancy-Jo , and several more are around that area. Rain and storms here too , but just mild stuff , nothing severe.
