I got Jet out of the kitty jail -- uh the vet's -- Thursday. All the other cats are making fun of him. His tail and rump are shaved. It looks like he yanked his tail out of something's closed, very toothy mouth. He's going to have 4 six inch long zigzag scars down his tail. I think hair must itch as it's growing back; he keeps thrashing his tail about oddly.


I wish our mail service would get back to normal. Another bill mailed that is late.

Bad times. New Corona Rules. Closing hours are regionally differnet but earlier and earlier the day.

Most infections occur on private parties and at home nowadays.

Bead supplier in my town has cloed shop already some time ago. Larger orders are difficult to place. Seems, I have to try out Hudson Bay Trading Post Germany. Direct order at Preciosa only as retailer but you don't get even an answer asking for a retailer who will sell to te customer in Kilogramm.

Well , it's raining ! 32 degrees , had sleet all day yesterday and now it's raining. Starting to ice up in the trees ! I hope it stops raining soon......or warms a few degrees. It's been several years since we had an ice storm , but when we did we lost power for 3 days and lost about 10 big trees ! Hopefully this will be over before that happens ! Beware BA. I looked at the website for Hudson Bay Germany. I can't read the German, but those beads look like they are not Czech but French reproductions of old colors. If so, they were made by Salvadori Company of Lyon, which I believe is no longer in operation. (I spotted Salvadori and Lyon among all the German, so I think I'm right.) Crazy Crow bought up Bovis Beads of Tombstone and became their sole distributor.

Those beads are roughly a size larger than the Czech beads. I've used a few over the years, mostly white hearts, the steel blue and the greasy yellow. You can mix the 12/0 French with 11/0 Czech. But the French beads have huge holes, you need thicker thread to fill the holes to get go tight work. Thus the mixed beads can be a bit floppy.

It looks like you're stuck with buying from a US retailer :(. I'm really rather surprised that the beads are made only a few hundred miles away, but that you can't get them without a round trip from Europe to the US and back. If you're ever in north TX, I'll drive you up to Pottsboro to Crazy Crow and take you shopping.

Traditional colours, yes you are right.

For the weeks coming, no way to drive to Jablonec. That is as expensive as to order beads at crazy crow. I have some hunks of czech beads by crazy crow but not enough. With the miserable post service in Corona times I better wait to order.

There is another quite reliable retailer I know but you never get all the colours you need / want or in the size you need / want.

The ice has melted , for now ! Mud , lots of mud. Supposed to get really windy today so maybe it will dry stuff out. The RA is just constant pain. The new med is just taking the edge off so now we have to see whats next ! It sucks to be me right now ! Pain makes me grumpy !Hoping for the best for everyone , stay safe , stay healthy !
