Thanks, WD. I wasn’t clear enough, I’m good. Unless a pipe breaks in this last cold snap, my home will have gotten through unscathed. I have been hoarding canned goods since the early Covid food shortages. I have food. My part of town still has running water. At the moment, I have water. I think once the hard freezes stop, the city will be able to get ahead of the leaks.

Well , it was 12 when I got up and it's already 30 ! Warming fast.Supposed to get to 41 today , 37 tomorrow and then up in the high 50S the rest of the week. I'm sure it will take a few days to melt all this snow and then we'll be knee deep in mud ! LOL But it's better than drought , and the deep freeze will have a positive effect on reducing the bug population.

Today about 60°F. Next three days alike. Snow is all gone. W'll see tomorrow, how muddy it will be on the forest graveyard.

Well it was 37 when I got up and 41 now. Snow is melting everywhere ! A good day !

74F right now. But it will be 30-32F in the morning after the cold front comes through.

I rewarded my poor car for starting after 5 days outside below freezing by driving for an hour on the highway. It was weird. The ice and snow is gone, but the abandoned and wrecked cars are still on the shoulders.

59 here and still barely freezing at night ! The snow has turned more to slush , which freezes after dark , making it difficult to walk on ! Tomorrow should finish it all off !So far , so good !

Well, I turned on the heat and water in the studio today. No leaks. Yippee!!! It looks like I haven't lost anything to the freeze other than a couple patinas.

I'm glad everybody got through all the freezes and frozen pipes without too much wear. It rained here again Fri., and today but that should be it for several days. Maybe it will give us time to dry out. Ya'll made me cold catching up with this thread. Our temps are going to level off into our version of Spring-mid to low 70s in the day, and around 45 or 50 at night. The pollen hasn't hesitated to come forth. Yuck.

OLC and WD, at least you weren't dodging falling iguanas during your cold weather. LOL! Down in S. Florida, iguanas are invasive, and when it gets below around 45, they get cold stunned and fall out of the trees. First time I heard that, I laughed until my sides ached.

We are in the sixties and no rain. Garage roof and backyard are dry. I can sweep the many ahorn lowers, leaves and moss of the garage roof, backyard and the gutters of the house.

LOL, the streets have sufferend by the freezing. A lot holes are opening again which have been patched in the summer. Patchwork street.

I grew up in the Pittsburgh environs in the 70's and early 80's. At that time, we were the unofficial pothole capital of the US. We had potholes on bridge decks that had rivers at the bottom. Pittsburgh Potholes So, I know a bad pothole when it devours a city bus in front of me.

TXDOT, the chuckhole that blossomed in the middle of I-35W feeder road in the medical district during this storm is bad. I see two options: fill it or open the North Texas Sinkhole National Park. Trust the girl from Pittsburgh, I know my potholes.

LOL, climbed up the garage roof, only 2,50 m. But climbing a ladder more than three steps is very dangerous.

Don't worry, I got up and downb in one piece without falling of the ladder or roof.

If this orgnaic waste is to long on the tarpaper roof, you get potting soil with plants but their roots may damage the roof. Sigh.

They say we'll be pushing 70 today ! 8 days ago it was -17 ! LOL At least we have a variety ! LOL Still snow/ice in the ditches. Some of those drifts were 2 feet deep. Should be gone today.....maybe !The kids across the street built a huge igloo a couple days ago and sometime yesterday the roof fell in. LOL Now it looks like the Alamo after the battle ! LOL
