That was really uncool. I hate that. When I was trying to rent in Portland it was really hard. No one wanted to rent to ndn's. And there's no way to get around that with my last name. I had to actually rent on the spot when looking at a house.

That way they could talk to me face to face rather then just round file my application.

So, keep trying, and if you have the $ in hand try to go for the place you want right from the start. Cause racism is a hard thing to battle. You have to make them deny you in person. Or accept you. And face to face, we seem to do better.

I know, that's how I felt too. UGH. You and me both with the last names - then the eyebrow goes up. Then I say immediately which is BS for me - "I've been in the service 14 years" AS IF I HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE TO THEM. The reason I'm crying is I'm pissed and I can't get at 'em. Anger management is a wonderful thing, too bad I flunked it. :guns:

They'd probably try something under-handed with the rent or let your house fall down around your head and justify it with their racial attitudes. Better off without 'em!

Man is this good. Thanks for making it Luta and thanks for serving me Wy-Rose. You guys wouldn't belive the week I have had. I drove over 2300 miles this week to fix printers. I am so tired I won't be able to demonstrate CPR this weekend without falling asleep!

Well, I'm ready for dinner! The steak thread had me drooling. I'm putting on my Outback Steakhouse apron and doing the grill steak kabobs and coconut shrimp thing.
