This is not native related but I'm sure we have all dealt with weird neibours, the one next to us has been on a tear chopping trees and building sheds. It started last summer, he just finninshed building a 20 x 10 shed, now today he's cutting a 30 foot tree I'm watching as I write this and if it falls this way it will hit our house right where I'm sitting, so I'll finish this and keep an eye out.

Everyone has a weird neighbor or two; of all the people we could've bought a house next to, we ended being the only people to live next door to the white-trash family on our street. Just our luck; now I know why our house was a better deal than the other houses on our street!

I live on a rez, so my whole family are my neighbours. My grandmother is my next door neigbour one way, a cousin lives next door the other side and my parents live down the way. Everybody's except one uncle are non-drinkers, so its quiet most of the time.

None of my neighbors really talk to each other
except for the occasional "hello" as you walk from your house to your car or vice versa.
It's okay, but it isn't like it used to be. When I was little I remember whenever someone moved in, the neighbors would stop by and welcome you. People are too busy now.
Anyway, I can't complain...but thought I would drop by this thread to see what was up...I hope that the one who started this thread soon posts back with some info about if everything is alive and kickin or (hate to say it but...) or not. Wow!

The tree didn't land on our place, he tied a rope around the tree and pushed it up as high as he could with a tree trimmer saw and then him and his wife pulled it the other way. The problem now is with his success with that tree he will probably try to cut the two or three other dead trees in back of his house, and the other ones are a lot larger in height and width, the first one was just a baby compared to the ones that are left. When he talked about it earlier in the fall he said he was going to hire somebody to do it. At that time he was trimming some trees in the front and cut down one completly, but with every success he goes on to larger projects, its like a Frankenstien kinda thing. I'm here in the back bedroom waiting to hear the chain saw start up!
