ME
This morning I looked in the mirror,
I stared intensely at what I saw,
Trying to figure out if it was
My eyes, my nose or my jaw.
Maybe it's my ears, I thought,
or maybe it's my chin,
I'm sure that I will figure out
what is my "part' that is Indian.
Maybe it's my arms or hands
or some little internal gland,
I sure hope I can soon find out
what "part" is Indian.
You see to some that means a lot
to them it's a big deal,
So maybe it's my knees or toes
or maybe my left heel.
But, you see, I don't understand
what this "part" stuff means,
Because in my heart I know
just who and what I be.
That from the top of my Choctaw head,
to the tip of my Choctaw toes,
With every beat of my Choctaw heart
Every fiber of me knows
That it is not the "degree of blood"
That makes me what I be.
It is the spirit of Choctaw
that dwells within, you see.
So with every breath I take
and in complete awe
I know with every breath I take
that I am Choctaw!

You are to me a very Special Sun

You are to me a very special sun
That shines upon a world few ever see,
A world I'm shy to show to everyone,
That hides its urgent truth from even me.
Without your light it is a world of darkness;
Its heaven and its hell lie fast asleep.
With you as sole and sympathetic witness,
The words come forth from out my vasty deep.
And so I cannot be myself without you;
No one is whole without some loving friend.
There is a quiet joy in me about you
That lets me say what I need not defend.
Long may we serve each other to give light
To all the loveliness that haunts the night.

Scared

They were together in the House.



Just the two of them.

It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly


and

each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump.

She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance...and


wished that he would take her in his arms, comfort her and protect her

from the storm.

She wanted that...more than anything.

Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out... She screamed...

He raced to the sofa where she was cowering.

He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms.


He knew this was a forbidden union and

expected her to pull back.


He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him.

The storm raged on...as did their growing passion. And


there came a moment when each knew that they had to be together.

They knew it was wrong...

Their families would never understand... So consumed were


they in their passion that they heard no opening


of doors...just the faint click of a camera......

Thanx Mato, there is some real talent here too, I hope some of them(*clears throught*ahem)will come out from hiding so everyone can appreciate their work.

Day to day.....

Day to day I breathe
knowing I got your love with me
day to day I find
that I can never get you off my mind

Holding you in my arms again
never letting you go to be alone

Living in this life of misery
trying to be the man I want to be

Holding back on the way I feel
hiding love, trying to keep it sealed

With you I feel a release
I've never gone thru before
Day to day hoping I never cease
for with you I find loves inner core

So trust in me
just a little more
for your the key
to open my loving door


I wrote this when I was Iraq, to my wife who was deployed as well....

When we lay eyes upon each other
