I'll have to admit to it....I do come to this site at work. Actually, I'm working right now. I dread using the internet at home cuz it's sooooo slowwww. I'm gonna have to this summer though since I work here at the school. As for my dream job....I would love to be a professional photographer and have my own studio. So peeps....Strike a Pose!

When I do start work, I'll be too busy doing stuff at work to be online ...

oh for those of you who may have missed it... I got a call yesterday from FV regional library and I'll be training to be a substitute assistant librarian... I'll be very busy, so surfing PWs will not be an option until I get home

Nothing like that when I was active duty... you guys got some really cool tech stuff now... I just hope they keep it as up-to-date as possible to keep you on top of everything when you're in the field.

I had a really freeky thing happen this afternoon - my truck was stolen while I was in orientation for my new job... (see "prayer circle" thread)... and now I'm sitting in the place where I'll be working at someone's computer (they're on leave) visiting with you guys

...talk about being on powwows.com while "at work" - I can't leave until my friend gets off... good thing she lives in the same area as I do...

If you guys got something to say to me... I'm here for another hour and a half.... then on the road for an hour....

That is kewl...meaning the smileys. I have been in the military for over 15 years, 20 if I had stayed in but I was out of the military for awhile,(5 yrs) and I have seen alot of changes in weapons, uniforms, and the use of satellites. Even the food is getting a little better. Not by much though. And the pay is finally getting better too. And the technology does help keep the world keep in touch.

I remember when I was in Afghanistan in 2003 and went to the computer tent logged on and we since we were only given a 1/2 hour to be on the computer I tried to read my e-mail and sat there the whole 1/2 hour and didn't get a chance to read my e-mail at all...cause the computer was still trying to connect to the server. Fun times...

I am proud of people like you, I am glad you liked the smileys. They had some, like a huey, that was cool but I didn't know what you did in the military. Thank you for making the world a safer place for people like me.

I remember hearing about that when the folks reporting over there would do highlights on NW soldiers over there... seemed like they were all glad to be able to say something to family back home 'cause they didn't get much of a chance to send e-mail home, much less read it! That was the year I got laid off from a really good job because of cutbacks... at least they all gave and excellent reference for me to my new employer.

Take care when you're over there... we'll all be praying for ya !
