This thread is old but now I can add another one to it. Our youngest daughter age 17 and her boyfriend have announced their engagement!They want to marry next year when she turns 18. She has picked out the dress, and sent me the link to look at mother of the brides dresses. Now that made me feel really old! Looking at those dresses I felt I should be looking for grandmother of the bride dresses. I am not about to wear a halter dress or mini dress to my daughters wedding!

[sigh] Two of my good friends have lost parents in the last year. Each time I attend a service it reminds me that I am getting older. I also lost my Uncle a few months back, I sat in the service looking around and a lot of the people I went to school with and their parents and wonder if I look 10 years older, too. Silly but just something that crossed my mind.....

I will be turning 30 in May, it's a small nag in the back of my head but I think I'm okay with it.

NOT REALLY FEELING "OLD" BUT I HAVE TO LAUGH AT MY BROTHER BECAUSE LAST YR HE TEASED ME SO BAD WHEN I TURNED 30....HE TURNS 30 IN TWO MORE DAYS!!! GOOD FER HIM!!!! I ACTUALLY LOVED TURNING 30.... :) I'M THINKING ABOUT DELIVERING HIM SOME BLACK, DEAD FLOWERS OR SOMETHING....

I checked my email yesterday and a girl from Canada was inquiring about getting beadwaork done for her daughter...........thats a good thing............. then she told me we're related, that's another good thing, she's my mother's sister's daughter's son's wife, so I'd be beading for my grand niece?...........holy smokes!

Yeah everything makes me feel old.The gray is starting to come out in my hair.I don't want to dye it.But I'm young in heart.No matter how old you get,You are always the same person inside lol.

annie fawn........lol....... my daughter found one of them old typewriters in a second hand shop and asked where's the plug???? i laughed , explained to her it is an old one and is reason most pple "my age" type two finger peckin style..........lol........ i is only 35 about to be committed to old age home by these two.........lol

annie fawn - my son thought we only had radios "back in yer days" (as he calls it) too..... was amazed i could program a vcr and that before computers there were electric typewriters............lol

My teenage daughter likes to start out sentences with 'back in the day, when you where young" to her dad and I. I'm 45! I'm just starting middle age! I made her pratice on my old manual typewritter when she couldn't learn the computer keyboard by memory. Should have seen that kid suddenly decide the computer keyboard was no problem if you worked at it a bit. Much easier than a old manual typewritter that you have to pound the keys on!

Has anything made you feel old recently by word or deed? My hubby is still reeling from our daughter asking him what kind of game this was and where was the player. He turned around and she was holding a 8 track tape! He stuck it in the stero in the garage and played it for her. Yes, we have my old stero from my high school days out in the garage. He came in shaking his head and muttering about the playstation generation. lol

LMAO!!!!! I woke up this morning with all my bones popping and cracking! That sucks! Something happened to my shoulder in the middle of the night and it locked, I was like what the heck? I fell back asleep thinking it was just a dream and when I woke up this morning, I couldn't move my arm. THAT MADE ME FEEL LIKE i WAS 50 YEARS OLD.
