I'll Tell you why.....Because people are ignorant and insensitive.....Or could it possibly be they are so out of touch with the real world that they need a keyboard to feel "In"......Cause they certainly are not making any waves in the real world. Some folks are in deep need of attention? Although why be an oppurtunist at someone elses expense? Stupid is as stupid does....Why do I say what I say, well because it certainly makes sense...Why though is it that it just does not sink into the thick head of some? Why must they insist on being a a dumb azz? I've observed some weak stuff here on this BORED and moderators have dove off the deep end in a Crusade of justice or something? Why now have they not deleted or edited something done in very poor taste? It's bad enough this BORED has taken a nose dive, but does it need to continue it's plunge? Wake up and smell the Coffee...

There is an unspoken code of ethics amongst the Native American community, one that is not "visible" to outsiders. It only becomes visible when traditions and culture are called upon to be enforced and then some people will wander why we are outraged over something that would seem acceptable in the non-native world. It is a verbal history, verbal code of ethics that is instilled from birth....you won't find it in a book anywhere nor will it be told to an outsider. But you will know when you have crossed that invisible line.I am thankful for my grandparents, my parents, my brothers, my aunties and uncles, my children, my companion and all of those who influenced me to be strong and proud of being who I am and where I come from. Knowledge is power

Thank you.......that's what I meant when I said let them mourn, be reverent and respectful. The thread got deleted finally.........Thanks to the moderators for that.It does not require many words to speak the truth.

The core group of my detractors, who've decided to crawl over here from CyberRez, will be happy to know I have asked that my threads be deleted and to have my account closed. I have never received so much HATE from people in my life--even out on CyberRez. Instead of crucifying me, who just like you is reeling from this tragedy, you could've asked nicely and tastefully (since you profess that 'good taste' is your thing) and I would've been more than happy to oblige. Calling me an 'outsider' because you think I could've exercised better judgement is ridiculous; but then there is so much displaced anger out here it has become toxic.Damme ape’semmai, "Andabichidaiboonee’ gimmadu’i.Wihyu memme hainjinee’ nahandu’i. Enne wizha sudei’ tsaangu mabizhiahkande," mai.
The Creator said, "A foreign race of white people will come, who will become your friends. You should treat them well."
The Creator sure had a strange sense of humor!

Sometimes, emotions get the best of us, but we should always attempt to be as respectful and sensitive as we possibly can, especially when it is concerning our pow-wow family.
Thanks to everyone who posted. Thank you to whoever deleted the original thread - it was very upsetting - whether or not that was the intent - it just was....
Let's keep our energy positive and geared to the Jack family. They are all in need of our prayers. There is no place for this negative energy.
Thank you.

by hamiller13Okay, so awhile ago I sent a DNA sample to DNA Tribes and had them do a Native American Panel. Does the information on one of these DNA Panels, as far as percentages of what tribes my DNA shows, count for anything other than my curiosity? I'm not even positive I'm reading it correctly. Can anyone...
