The people who made the Consitution were all rich WHITE MALES. - The people who wrote the Bill of Rights were all WHITE MALES. - The people who made the decision to go into every single war have been WHITE MALES. - Every President in American history has been a WHITE MAN. - The WHITE statue of liberty. - The WHITE majority of Senators. - The WHITE majority of Cogressmen. - The WHITE majority of Billionaires on the Forbes 400 List- The WHITE majority of military generals, and military officiers in general. - The WHITE MALE faces on Mount Rushmore. - The WHITE MALES faces on every single paper bill currency (slave masters and killers of native americans on our money, yet they wanted to take saddam off iraqs money). (90% OR MORE OF THE GOVERMENT IS WHITE) The media 95% white.

Come to think of it, some of this describes native governments as well.....so does that mean we're "white"???? except you forgot to add hiring your own relatives, never being at work when people need assistance cuz your on vacation, stealing tribal money for your own personal or my favorite ....utilizing tribal vehicles for personal use (ie: going to the grocery store in your spouses patrol car off the rez, going to wal-mart in a school vehicle off the rez or many other things they do).......

i just cant get hung up on white people. yes, they did alot of crappy things but at some point you have to draw a line and move on. dwelling in the misery will take away from our own way of life, traditions and language. right now, if you turned your attention to your own people that would be better. informing us of the obvious or rehashing old wounds dont accomplish anything.

in a tradish way, the prayers and ceremonies dont relive the past. its more about new beginnings and living on this path with the creator. what happened to that junk. surely your elders must have shown you that much. okay we get it. white men are bad. move on.

there's a white man standing in my front yard right now...........

we live on an indian reservation (another word that is in the english language) and a "white man" is standing in my front yard, doing a job he got hired to do by the "tribe". I have a few very close and dear "white" friends, my family are Native American! I used to be ultra racist, what they call "ethnocentric" believing my people are superior, i still believe that way, only not as radically as my college days, its a natural tendency for people to believe their own people are "chosen". I was taught by alot of people that we own North America, and the predominant belief system is one built with "foreign" ideals, thats why the country is the way it is today, people hungry, out of work..........we used to take care of each other, when red people walked north america long ago. We're in the modern age now, and I teach my children to learn the "white man" language and ways, and dream any kind of dream they want! I still believe a perfect place has only tee pees,and native american language and beliefs. Now, we have to share our entire continent with the "white yellow and black" man. The red people were here a long time ago! Some people wouldn't want to admit that. We have alot to teach, and alot to learn. I don't see boundaries, invisible lines drawn to support "ideals". They call this radical thinking........ Mama taught us, they're paying US rent!................. This land is not for sale, when it somes down to it, nature is the boss, we are only care takers........

Actually, the Statue of Liberty is made of copper, which turns light green on the surface as it oxidizes. On the surface! Deep inside, she is still RED!

That may be true but I heard it was modeled after a Native "Constitution" as in either Iriquois confederacy or 5 civilized tribes-

BUT we as natives have historically gone to defend this country and our land, even before we had rights in this country. Maybe we should come up with a better canidate/ president. Or elect a woman.

I think America is what WE make it to be. Years ago Natives, blacks, women and others were not allowed to vote. Women who were widowed in this country had no say so over their own children, the closest MALE relative had that power. Times and modern culture changed slowly and contuine to change gradually. So in my eyes and what I have taught my children is that this country is what YOU make of it. Those white men that you are condeming did the BEST they could when they wrote our constution over 200 years ago. They wanted to have freedom from opression, but yet had to write it so that the people (yes, white men) would agree with it and help in that fight. John Q. Adams wanted to give women more freedom then, BUT the culture of that day came from how these people or their parents had been raised in England. Women had NO RIGHTS in England, and only the oldest son was allowed to inherit in most cases. It was a era when men ruled. BUT THOSE MEN, gave us the RIGHT to change what we felt was wrong! That is the only reason we have the freedoms we enjoy in this country today.
Oh, and about ALL THOSE RICH WHITE MEN who signed the Dec. of Indpent. Go take a good look at history and see what happened to them afterwards. England declared them traitors, and hunted them with bounty's on their heads during the American Revolution. Many of those signers died penniless, others had their homes taken, used at officers quaters by the British or burned to the ground. 1 ORDERED the American troops to fire cannons at his own home and all that he owned because it was a Bristish headquaters, another returned home after the war to find his wife dead, his home burned to the ground and his 13 children missing. Those men signed that paper KNOWING they were signing their OWN DEATH WARRANTS if the British caught them. Tell me, would you be so brave as to risk ALL that you loved and ALL that you owned, your life, your families lives for what at that time was considered a lost cause, but hey, Maybe it would get England to notice us and give us a few rights in Pariliment.
I'm proud to be a U.S. Citizen! When we have family reunions, I can visit with cousins who are 100% native, white/native, black/native, and one of the youngest who is Asian/white/native.
We might be a bunch of mutts but over the years I've noticed that mutts are the most protective of their property, and have the most unexpected and painful bite when some one messes with them or what they consider theirs. Let go of the past and grab your future! Everyone else is.

Here's my "white man" mentality. If someone is born in Russia- they're Russian. If someone is born in Puerto Rico- they're Puerto Rican...Jamaica-Jamaican..etc...etc. I was born in America and I'm American. My heritage however is Italian, and god knows what else. My daughter is American, her heritage is Jamaican, Italian, and god knows what else. My niece is American, her heritage is Puerto Rican, Irish, English and god knows what else. The saddest part about living in this country is that yes, all the pen holders and law makers are a white majority. The only thing that can change that is time and the possibility that our more trusting minorities can eventually gain control of our government. It can't happen overnight unless we overthrow these greedy ba$#@rds. Which I support. My husband called me a traitor for saying that. And he's not even American!
