Which NDN movie do you hate the most?

Ok, since we have a the best NN movies its 'bout time we balance thigs out and list the awful ones.

1-That one movie with John Wayne. Where they had Navajos as Apaches.
2-Some old movie where white actors were NNs in it. A John Ford Film I think it was.
3-Smoke Signals: Why do NNs always have to have some tragic background.
4-Blackcloud: Another stereotype NN film; y'know NNs with problems with Alcohol or other skit.

Why can't there be a NN film that is happy and funny like White Chicks o' something. Were always portrayed as alcoholics with mental anguish o' some form of personal angst against society o' whatever.

For me it has to be "Dances With Wolves". One more reference to Kevin Custer and I'm going to lose it. "Ground breaking" -ya right, he wanted to break ground for a dang casino.

Dance Me Outside was a waste of my time to watch this so called movie...grade B acting and it was slowwwww......a yawner I'll never watch again.

"Last of the Dogmen" with Steve Reevis was just an all around, horrible movie!! It completely sucked!! They should've done a much better job with that movie.

okay this one is a television movie and I know this one for a fact is the worst in my book lol okay Its called "A will of there own" starring Leah Thompson (the girl from Caroline in the city) filmed here in St. Louis at forest park, the village was built and well they had a casting call here to make a long story short the indians that they used for this movie were all mexicans because we looked to healthy and we had some native american here full blood LMAO and it was about a 3 generation of non native women traveling through eastern woodlands area, and they came across a village that came down with disease.

SKINS...I agree, not every indian has a drinking, family, dysfunctional problem. You don't see sitcoms like George Lopez....(course his mom is an alcoholic *L*) But after awhile the native tragedy gets old. Acurate yes, for every native?? no.

Why not an urban native movie??? There are those of us in the city! (shocking I know)

Accurate yes, but also so very redundant. Could someNative out there do a comedy or action film. I haven't got the skills or the connection t'is why I say. Enough of the gloom and doom, up with the humor and choreographs. Another typical NN film I recently watched is "The Business of Fancy Dancing", and it just took gloom and dysfunctional into other areas of life but with a change of perspective.
Seriously are we that sad? Why do these directors always have to imitate our everyday life on film, shoot if I wanted that I'd simply walk down to the store, why not escape the realities of life and make a joyous film, a joyous NN film that is.

Anything with Irene Bedard......*L*.............anyway, I would have to say the PBS movies based on Tony HIllermans books..........it's bad enough they jacked up "Windtalkers" with a non-navajo speaking dude (they could have done a little more to help him then make him sound like a dyslexic kid who got beat down down from the flo up), but they made it worse casting Lou Diamond Phillips in a majority of Hillermans Book-to-film adaptations.....another would be "Dreamkeeper".....just bad......anyway, majority of these films could have done more with their actors/actresses to help them overcome some of these obstacles....anyway........

I hope that the New World and Christmas in the Clouds (if I can find it in a theater) are going to be good. The more native movies, the better. That's all I can say.

Most movies have their faults....I just hate the ones where the whites or mexicans are the actors.
