Anybody else can't wait for Christmas season to be over. Not having any fun this year. My wife and kids went to go and visit her family this year and I am home alone. Couldn't get off of work and will be home alone until the 28th. When my wife was getting ready to leave, I went to get some groceries for her. Anyway when I came out of the store the rear tire was flat so I took it to a shop to get the tires looked at. I was a little upset because I thought I would be able to change the rear two tires. Cause its all wheel drive, I had to change all 4, that was $620.00. It gets better, my wife's work didn't pay her so I had to give her another $350.00. So I get to be home alone and it cost me almost a $1,000.00. Anybody else have terrible stories of things going wrong. Don't get too depressing, I don't want to hear about anybody losing their parents, spouses, their pets. Just some stuff so I can help share the misery. If you're married and your girlfriend died, then thats okay, you can talk about that. Actually you're wife would prolly be happy about that.

Sounds familiar.. yeah we're having a rather difficult season ourselves. Usually it's a great time for us, but there's so much going wrong... I'm just gonna get out of this thread before it depresses me sorry.

Damn dude...... don't even get me started! After my emergency sugery the 3rd of Nov.... things have gotten "interesting".

First hubby was taking the car to work..... (powwow pony is down so it's our only vehicle....k) Well it stops dead in the road.........both wheels locked tight. *skreetchhhhhhhhh*

So we got a rental for two days till he could have the guy that towed it look at it on Monday. $74 Welllll......... come to find out ....he was off all week because of Thanksgiving. (he's the owner ) So we had to get the rental for 10 more days. $374.

Day after Thanksgiving...... 4am hubby wakes me up to tell me that there is 4' of water under our house..... water pressure valve blew. Well the dude came out at $75 per hour..... of course he didn't tell us he had to be paid right then and there. He got here at 6:30am and left at 12:30pm. So the water guy didn't get here until like 6:15 so that means our bill is going to be through the roof. Well the dude has a bill $457.62 (there goes mortage money) .

Now back to the car..... dude finally calls and instead of $500 estimate......... it ends up being $800.

I was supposed to go in for another ultrasound but am putting it off..... gosh..... don't want anything else on my plate right now.

But all in all.......Christmas is looking up. Not going to have much of a dinner this year like others or "stuff" but feeling really good and happy. Cause I sure know.... things could get a whole hell of a lot worse really fast!!

Ohhh....... forgot. Hubby's company changed because a german company megered with the japanese one so they did no christmas bonus this year.

It just got better! I left for work this morning and my left rear tire on my vehicle was flat. I spent the morning looking for a new one. Plus on the way home my headlight went out. Hope my truck starts tomorrow.

But yeah, it's hard for me to get in the Christmas spirit this year. We didn't get a bonus this year for the first time in a long time.

I spent all my Christmas money on other essentials and feel like a Scrooge. I do get paid tomorrow, but there's really no place to shop around here. I'm trying to decide if we can go to Billings, but that will cost a lot of time and money just to get there.

My friend ordered a jingle dress and I lost the jingles somewhere after I strung them. Her little girl may not get her dress in time for Christmas. UGH!!

I got my daughter a used computer to give her as a present, but after updating it, I can't find all the drivers and it's not working yet. Stupid Compaq site lists all these drivers for that model and they don't even work!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!

Because my family has food, utilities and a roof over their head- my Christmas will be just fine. I feel fortunate...

:( I hope things get better for yall. I'm pretty serene. I feel a level of peace even though I'm broke, I don't plan on getting anything else for Christmas, a female member of my family is missing and we don't know where the hell she is, I don't get to go home and see mom or my fam, my extended fam are all so far away and are going through things too... but I'm still breathing. Just hanging in there and making the best of what I got. lol you know how we do.

Well things for our house got better. The check arrived, time was found to do stuff, all the baking is done... but man it was such a close call and so depressing there that I'm still trying to get out of the funk it caused. Or maybe I'm just tired.. I don't know.

It takes about 13 hours to get home from where they are so it isn't possible for them to get here. She phones me everyday. I told her that if she doesn't come home by the 28th I'll have to look for company (raises eyebrows). She laughed. While I miss them I know they will be home within a week.
