im a genuine native soo ill tell it like how it is. i want my kids to learn about nighttime the right way. theres so many things to appreciate at night. theres differnt stars, the differnt phases of the moon, theres even certain checkpoints in navajo way during the night when certain things happen and ceremonies revolve around this time, theres animals that are only active at night. theres sounds and sights that only happen at night. i want all native kids to be familiar with these things. theres no reason to limit yourself or impose this stupidity of being afraid of night on children. the days of doo daa! and yee yah! are over. yess there are fools who live in neiborhooods but their rules dont apply to us. nighttime on the rez is great and equally important as the day.

My Uncle Res had no street lights and actually no one was supposed to be out after dark because of the black bears and at the time this guy was taking children. This in B.C. around `70-80. Bad enough seeeing the bears during the day. Myself ,I`d just stay indoors with my kids. Still will not go out in the dark now.

My stars.bad enough having to do in the daylight when I went up north in B.C. and carry a stick because of rattlesnakes so scary. I didn`t dare go out there at night. THey must have indoor plumbing, by now. lol

Doesn't it suck when you have to use someone else's outhouse and it's like a mile away and it freakin cold outside? Not that I'm glamourous and picky, but that sucks. lol.

Hey Joe's Dad.....yeah imagine me walking down a lone highway with a hard hat, boots and lunch box with the sun going down. I was thinking what if I have to walk out here in the dark.......last thing on my mind would be to walk all the way. There's crazy $hit out there, don't even want to say. Never do that again.
I knew what you man about walking in the dark. My ex and I had to and He knew I was deathly afraid.......he is a smoker but used he lighter so I wouldn `t be so afraid. thought it was so gentlemanly of him.

Haven`t I already said that I am not expressing myself properly/not coming out the way I would like for it to. I realized I sounded ridiculous. But I make lots of mistakes and am not expressive like I sould be. I am learning though this sight on how to at least talk abit. Never did this but am by far than in my bedroom just reading. Now I am on this computer reading other people`s opions and just trying to express myself. It`s only been two weeks for me speaking at all.

We all seek or desire a type of happiness that would fulfill our purpose in life. We, as society, will always have opinions and so we go back and forth, "quabbling" about whatever to fullfill that desire. Evidently, I don't think we'll ever have the answers to life's questions, but instilled in all of us is contemplation. I'm not on anyone's side, but I think if we didn't just live life, we wouldn't be on this site in the first place. We log onto this site to state our opinions and get a sense of belonging, cuz sometimes we don't get it in the real world. I just like to hear people, understand them, study them and reason with them. I also like to instigate and interrogate, that's human nature. So life isn't just living life, we all have a place in this circle to fullfill our function and seek happiness, that's "quabbling". In my opinion.

So what was the original thread people????
