    Paranormal?

I once got my first pay check and then I dissappeared!

I know a few other Indians who had this same experience!

Oh yeah? It's my paycheck that seems to disappear on me fast at the scariest times. But somehow I've just gotten use to it.

Oh BTW there might not be alot of quick responses b/c this is one of those "talking about spiritual stuff" type threads that ancient tradition that dates back to the invention of the internet somehow forbids.

Well, I take 'paranormal' to mean GHOSTS!!! And I LOVE ghost stories. Not too keen on the dissappearing check phenomenom which I experience repeatedly.

While I have never seen a ghost and never want to, I HEARD things many times.

The latest was a crying ghost. I was warned she comes around this house, but took it with a grain of salt. When I heard it along with a group of people, I had to believe. Then when I heard it later in the same house but I was alone by the back door, I FREAKED!!!

And I learned long ago to not go into an abandoned house and say , HELLO ANYONE HOME? You know, trying to be all polite and everything. Twice I got an answer and noone was there!!!

Yeah I been visited by a ghost but I knew him so it was all cool. And my dog who died about 9 years ago still comes and sleeps at the foot of my bed every once in awhile. I don't mind and I feel comforted when he's there.

So with paranormal - no worries man - just cause you don't see them all the time don't mean they ain't there all the time right!

Oh and Ghost Whisperer is my favourite show right now.

              Walking the floor

I lived in a single wide trailer on some land that i own. I decided to have a new 3 bedroom 2 bath house built on this land. The contractors building the house brought in bulldozers to clear and level a spot big enough for the house. After completing that they built the house. Once construction was done i painted the walls and ceiling, carpeted and tiled the floors. Then it was ready to move in. I moved all the furniture and everything in. The first night sleeping in the house i am awakened by the sound of someone walking back and forth across the floor. I get up to see what it is and the noise stops and nothing is there. The next night after all the lights are out and i lay down and start to go to sleep i hear it again. I get up and once again, nothing there and it stops. This continues every night for about a week so i had my mother spend the night and i did not tell her about the noise. The next morning she asked if i was up during the night walking through the house. A couple of days later my wife is really starting to get nervous about this, so myself, my mother, and my wife are talking about what to do about this and i decided to smudge the house. After a good smudging with sage and sweetgrass the restless spirit was gone and no more noise. We named the spirit Floor Walker. Without me knowing taht something was therethe contractors must have disturbed something when they cleared and leveled the ground.
May the Great Spirit's blessings always be with you.

I've had a few experiences, one that I still won't talk about even 25 years later--just too creepy. Another experience happened when I was in labor with my oldest--now 23. I had been in the hospital for almost an hour, when my doctor informed me that I had toxemia and that I had less that 20% chance of surviving--of course I thought the doc was nuts cause I felt fine. I was told they would do everything to save the baby. My husband went to call my parents. Then a nurse came in my room to inform me that I had visitors, she described them as 3 elderly Indians- 2 women and a man. She went back out to let my visitors know that they could not see me yet. As she was standing in the doorway of the lounge after talking to them, she saw my husband and started to inform him of the visitors. They went into the lounge, but noone was there. They had been standing at the only door. Needless to say everything turned out okay.

                    I believe...

I know they do but it is a bit scarry to think about at times, The one that moved me the most was after my mom passed I missed her deeply and I still do ,one of the last things she said to me was little one you will have to look after your brother he's "sick" meaning booz ,and do not be upset when your father remarries he cant stand to be alone, and remember you are my baby and I love you very much and will never be far from you and your family at that time I was a newlywed and no chlidren she pased the next day ,a month or so passed and I was tring to call my dad for several days and not getting him, that nite i woke up and saw my mom waving her arm and pointing in a direction that I diddnt understand ,being freaked and worring that she wasnt goingon the rest of her journy I looked at her till she was gone and cried myself to sleep , I dreamed of her this time I saw a house that I had seen before it was of a lady my parents knew I could see my mom pointing at the house , well i went to that house and opened the door was my dad he was living with her as my mom had said when she was still here, i guess she was tring to tell me where he was so I wouldnt worry about him, then I would hear her walking my hallway I knew it was her because she had a bit of a shuffle when she walked and i knew her sound from when I was a child so I knew it well. I saw her again three more times this time was after the birth of each of my babies-- oh and when my oldest was 5 he was taliking to someone in his bedroom and I said son who are you talking to he said she says she is my grandma and she loves me and my brothers very much I fell to the floor and cried my , my son said gramma said you would do that and not to be scared. well I have only felt her for a few years now ,my dad met and married avery nice lady and they take very good care of eachother and thats what mom wanted for dad was to be happy again, but my step momsays she can feal mom in the kitchen at their house wich was her favorite room cause she cooked for us and loved doing so.
I got a fevah! And the only cure is more cowbell!!!

                      Hi
Yeah it's kinda hard talking about this stuff. You get to the point that since everyone acts strange if you mention it- you keep it to yourself. The hardest part for us not living on the rez, no access to elders is - it don't come with an instruction manual!
                      Couple of things-
I woke up in the middle of the night once, crying and my mom came in asked me what was wrong- I wanted to know how long my Nuno was going to live. (my dad's dad- was Italian lived in Italy at the time) Mom said not to worry a long time yet. We got the call that day that he had passed - same time i was up. (Italy is 6 hours ahead of US, east coast)

When my cuz died. Mom woke me up to say that we had to go in to town cause Jimmy had died. I argued and told NO, he's not dead. We argued all the way into town (2 hours) met my grandmother and told her. (Jimmy was the eldest and her favorite) Entire time I'm saying - It's NOT Jimmy. No one would listen. We arrive at my aunt's door and Jimmy answers. Gramms passed out, mom was leaning on the door and I'm there saying see told you it wasn't Jimmy. It was Ugene- also called Gennie.

It's happended when friends have passed, a "adopted" grandfather my mom used to work for (got both me and mom that time) when my mom was sick- guess I'm just used to it.

One thing different- once right after mom was gone i missed her so much. Had a dream where she was comforting me, smoothing my hair- could feel her touch.
Be nice to understand it better.

i belive, my gramps told me that some ppl in our family can see and hear things.
its not bad, and majority of the spirits who come to see you ar not bad, or evil.
they are just here not everyone knows why they come back.

so dont be scared becuase you have seen, you have talked to them, dont be scared, and accept this gift... there are ppl who would like to see and hear the things you do. and there are ppl who are gald they dont.

it is up to you, how you let it effect your life.

keep your ears open, eyes open and you will see and hear things lots of ppl dont.

sometimes it gets scary, sometimes its fun.. sometimes i wish i cant...
with all these new shows and stuff, ppl want you to act on cue, tell me what you see, tell me what you hear
but i dont let it bother me...

i accepted it and live with it.. and try not to let it scare me. i should post some stories... maybe later...

                            my ghost

It was wintertime, cold and dark that morning when I awoke. First thing that popped in my head was, gotta have coffee. So, I stumble downstairs still half asleep, standing by the fridge pouring cream in my cup when I hear the tap-tap of toenails on the tile. I think, who's coming to see mommie this morning, only to look up into an old and much beloved face. It was our old Easy who had passed a few years before. I could see through him, but there was no mistaking that face. Sadly, when I blinked, I could no longer see him. But he was there. I'm sure of it....;) I felt like I'd been given one of the most precious gifts of my life.
