how young is to young for eagle feathers?

I posted some pics of my boy that i'm working on getting pinned. I got some goose feathers from my father in-law, cause i told him of my concerne of my boy tearing up a eagle bustle. I also made him a fan. when he can take care of a eagle fan and bustle i'll make him one, till then, i'll stick with goose. i get sick to my stomach just thinking about him backing into a wall.....CRUNCH..... so what is your thoughts?

if they are compelled to play with their feathers and tear up stuff , crawl around on the floor, throw things on the floor, etc... then they are too young. Too young depends alot on the child though. There's some that are good as gold about feathers at 3 and some that you would'nt trust them with feathers at 8... so use your best judgement.

Not sure about that question, hoov. My son was given an eagle plume at 2 yrs. His first eagle feather at 3 yrs. The eagle fan was given to him a 9 yrs old. All were given to him by dancers. What age do you think you should make your son an eagle bustle? Maybe I'm asking, "For what reason do think he needs an eagle bustle at such an early age, or what age do you think he should wear an eagle bustle?"

This is not intended to sound bad, but sometimes typed words don't have the same translation as spoken words. You, as his father, have to decide when your son is mature enough to understand to meaning of wearing an eagle bustle. Just don't put it in him so he looks good. But again, I'm sure you are aware of my words.
