Tupperware........*lol*

Does anyone even own the real stuff anymore?? Only things I have are three fushia tumblers .....one has a dog bite on it. The rest of my stuff is like the glad containers or margarine containers, except for some bigger rubbermaid bowls.

What brought this up....... I had a cupboard full of lids with no containers. So tonight after the last avalanche I sucked it up and got rid of em.

I think the bowls go where ever it is that socks that disappear in the dryer do.

I really liked that butter stick holder that tupperware made... yanno the one that holds the butter so you can apply it like roll-on deodorant on to corn-on-the-cob?

I still have a bunch, some for lunches and stuff so it's easy for hubby to find. I also inherited all my mom and stepmoms when they died. My problem is keeping track of all the lids.

Tuppeware is the shyt..lol...so my parents thought...well im just judging by the overflowing tupperware cupboard that my dad still has...funny how my mom moved out and didnt fight for any of it lol...but i guess after all the $$ he/they spent on it...oh and its the original stuff too...from when i was a kiddo...can u say errrr...i was there for supper on mothers day and he sent me some leftovers in one....i didnt dare re-heat it in it tho...its washed and ready to be sent back...i myself dont own any tupperware

oh and my fav was the orange juice thing u stabbed in the orange and squeezed the juice out lol..well at least im sure that was tupperware

I have one of the tupperware orange peelers and a yellow food strainer. My mom still has some of her stuff from when I was a kid.

I'd get some more but it's way more expensive then the rubbermaid stuff walmart has.

I inherited a blue canister set, I don't use it. I did however buy an onion keeper a couple of years ago, and I use it quite often. I personally prefer the Professional Rubbermaid items, I find at the restarant supply store, it's just better for saving thing in. I even bought a huge lidded bucket to store my dog's food in, the bugs were munching in the bottom of the food bag, and then the dogs wouldn't eat the food. I don't like tupperware; when I see it at the second hand store, or garage sale, I always wonder what people had in it. My dad always had his mechanics or household items in my moms containers.

Man, can you actually buy real tupperware anymore... I remember back in the day my mom had a tupperware party, but haven't heard of such a thing in years.

oh my gosh...... you reminded me..... I have one of their yellow egg separators! dang I love that thing! I also have one of the orange thingies BEG was talking about. My friend used to be a dealer and she hooked me up with some stuff before she quit. dang..... just read that and how it sounded if people didn't know I was talking about tupperware.

Yup....don't ya love wally world? That's where I got my rubbermaid stuff.

I have several of the tupperware goodies that they gave you for free or as prizes at the parties like the egg separator, the tomatoe, strawberry plucker, I had the teabag squeezer till Cecil threw it away on me dangit! I would kill for an orange peeler though! Those things were perfect for me and my lack of fingernails due to ob/comp. chewing of them. My mom loves her big bowl and I'd love to have one.. and I think I owe her one for leaving hers somewhere.....LOL. Otherwise I love gladware. You melt it, or lose it or give it away, no biggie cause it's so inexpensive. Tupperware will last forever, but now that I know that they retain toxins and you can't get those out.. I don't like the thought of keeping plastic around that long.

My mama still has all her tupperware. It is great when I go there and get leftovers (which is everytime I go!!!). I use it in the microwave, I just don't use the tops in there. And remember if something messes up you can send it back to the company and they will replace it. Around here in the malls you can sometimes buy tupperware and Target has started carrying some of it too!

undefinedundefinedundefined Yep, I was just at a Tupperware party last year. The woman here at my work throw one every quarter. Along with other parties. I bought a whole set of storage containers, the square clear ones for all my pastas and the woman's party I bought them at actually hugged me...LOL So now they invite me all the time. To everything. I never thought about tupperware much. I needed it, I bought it and I never looked back....LOL

I had a few things of tupperware.. really didnt go crazy over the stuff.. but i remember my mom having alot of it. The FEw things I did have I either lent them out and never got them Back.. OR... Hubby got bright Idea that he gonna label all MY tupper ware tumblers i had JUST bought and put the kids name on it.. Good Idea you say.. Yeah i did too until he carved thier names into the side of the cup instead of the bottoms LOL..it just didnt look nice hehe they were brand new.. Alot of the tupper stuff is good but i find the prices a bit too much for me, some worth it some not.

I think Tupperware is a thing of the past, and other brands have surpassed it in price and quality. I read the information about the toxins in plastics also, your not supposed to heat or reheat items in plastics. Even plastics used in your freezer are a problem. Your supposed to replace your plastic kitchen items on a regular basis, because many plastics actually break-down and release these chemicals into your food. With the past popularity of Tupperware, and current popularity of other brands, I'm sure this clearly explains our rises in cancers, and other weird diseases humans are getting.
