Hey I glad I didnt hit them either! I mean how much bad carma would that put into my life? Seriously though, I spoke with an elder about that, and he said that it was a sign that my ancestors were please with what I was currently doing in life.
I guess I am being rewarded, I am moving up to Minnesota in a couple of years, hoping to see a lot more eagles up there than in Florida too.

I had an experience one day, a ways back, a few years ago. I was driving southbound on a county road, on the way home from work. I was driving in my old van, and I saw something falling out of the sky. It had rough and jagged edges, and was tumbling. I thought it was something that fell off an airplane, and it was going to hit the road in front of me. When it got about 5 feet off the ground, and maybe 20 feet in front of my van, and i was slowing down, the two eagles split apart and flew off to the west. I slammed on my brakes to look on, had a good view of it. I bet the driver behind me had a good view too. Oops.

I didn't say it was a sign from God, I mearly said it was a blessing, and how lucky I was that that God would allow that to happen in front of me.
And Yes the eagle was hungry, and who's to say that it wasn't in God's plans for me to see that....
be blessed

lbgood,
I wasn't talking about the eagle as being a sign from God.!!
or the osprey....
I was referring to a revelation I will receive one day as to why
the osprey did what it did. Something like that is not very common at all.
It could be anything.
Who knows, the osprey could be someones pet.
sometimes you have to look to God for answers!!
Be Blessed......

That's cause eagles don't generally scream. they make this chorteling (sorry do'nt have a more descriptive word) kind of noise.
http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAbou...gle.html#sound (hear what they sound like at this link)
Oh and don't get me wrong. I don't tire of seeing them either, it's just become common place for me to see them anymore because I see them everyday now. I just don't get all excited about it like I used to.

A person could never get tired of seeing a Bald Eagle. I live in the Allegheny National Forest of Pennsylvania and the eagles returned to this area 7 years ago. Now I get to see them a couple times a week. I can even tell some of them apart. I'm lucky to work outdoors along a wild & scenic river.
One thing I notice is that the Bald Eagle almost never vocalizes. I have only heard one scream in several hundred encounters. When the Red-tailed hawks hunt around my farm they scream all the time. Anyone have any experience with this?

That's totally awsome GOZ! Two days ago, my husband & I were in our little pool out in the back yard, and I asked him if he'd seen the wild bird that comes around to check up on me lately. He said no. So, I desided to try chirping for it to come around. My husband thought I'd lost it, thinking I wouldn't be able to have a wild bird come to my yard. But I stayed true & stood firm and believed that this bird would come because it came to my door when I was sick one day in bed, it came when I was lonely or upset about something, and it usually came every morning to present himself, if not just to say "Hello" in it's own way. So, this is why I believed he'd come if I called for him. I called, and called. Sure enough about a minute later, it flew in and landed on the phone cable wire over my clothes line. I said "See, there he is!" My husband was shocked. I told him the reason why the bird wasn't comming down closer was because he was waiting for the worker to leave in his car...and sure enough...after he left, it flew down by the pool and started to eat things he found on the ground. I said "See David, he's my friend! My name isen't Little Bird for no reason." I still wonder if my husband hadn't been there to see it for himself, would he believe me if I had told him about it later.
