    Lockey Looney
    Whorley Davis
    Wash Smith
    Lemuel Daisy
    Berthat Grub

    Minnie Mass (age 13)
    Obediance Nailand
    Coffee Pardon
    Siverdick Park (age 4)

A while back I used to know this guy, white guy,

      named Buster Cox

Slightly differnt subject, I always get this from someone at a pow wow some where,

      "Whats your name?"

      Derek

"Don't you have an indian name?"

What you mean like a phrase consisting of a adjective, animal, verb and adverb like Grey Wolf Runs Scared or Young Bird Sings Terrible? Nope dont have a name like that.
I believe in something I want to believe, not what someone wants me to believe.

there used to be a local sheriff who's last name was Marshall...so Sheriff Marshall, kinda confusing. What was funny was his first name, since he was big on pot busts....Herb.

a friend had told me about another cop where he lived that had the hands down winner, Buster Hymin, my apologies, but that was his name.

in my hometown there were two sisters with the last name of Nutt, Ima and Ura, pretty bad eh? Makes you wonder what their parents were thinking. All true names.

I know I mentioned these before in other threads but they are still funny to me.. lol

I had a boss in Springfield, Ohio..... printing business..... his name was Dick Seaman. When i was in print tech school and he would call my teacher and would say "This is Dick Seaman" the first time I thought he was lyin and was all offended and got all huffy and told my teacher someone pranked me........ well from then on every time he said that I would have to giggle when I answered the phone. Wonder if that is why I couldn't answer the phone there anymore.

Had a friend one time and his uncles name was Buster Cherry.

My dad had a friend that was a plumber........ he had crazy red hair....... weird thing was his given name was Rusty Pipes. He was cool about it.

My daughter had a friend in school...... her name was Mai (my) Valentine. Her birthday was Feb. 14th. Go fig!

Ok..... got more but I'll quit for now.

I watched Dateline last week and one of their topics was about names. They said that men named Dennis are more likely to become Dentists than any other name and people are attracted to other people with the same initials. They also mentioned Paris hilton dating the other Paris and penelope cruz dating tom cruise. The reporter said it's because people love themselves and what defines yourself more than your name? It's very interesting.

This guy that i work with his last name is Beamesderfer and a girl's last name is VandeZanschulp. Haha, try pronouncing those. I do a lot of honors for people that were retired from the military and have passed away. Kid you not the last name was spelled like this on a headstone "****HEAD" but it was pronounced Shi-thi-add. Took a lot for me not to laugh in front of the family.

talk about being between a rock and a laughing fit, errr...I mean a hard place. If I saw that on a marker I'd be thinking that person wasn't well liked. Either that or it was Steve Martin's dog from the movie "the Jerk".

Long ago during one of my side jobs ...the supervisor told me to go to Miss Steigrüber to let her know that she should take her break now...and that she was pregnant.
I think she didn't have any breaks that day...everybody thought it was a joke...
Steigrüber means something like 'climb over' in a sexual way...well LOL

My roomie is a photographer who loves "collecting" clients with Names.
One summer he did the Brady family, the Partridge family and the Waltons.
He just did a small family with the last name of Erckle- guess what the dad's name was- Steve!
                              Poor dude.

With much faith and work, I was finally able to locate the names of my great grandmother's siblings.

                                Her name was Chief.
Her brother's name was Badger. (God of Protection)
Sister's name was Leola. (Prairie flower)
The other two siblings were named James and Judie.

In days gone by, Indigenous peoples of North America were known by tribal names given to them as children. Some tribes allowed a person to earn a new adult name when they were old enough to receive it.

Some tribes still believe they need this Indian name so that the Creator will recognize...
