  • Lumbee Solider Killed in Iraq

Joshua Deese, a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina was killed this past weekend while serving in Iraq. He was an Army Ranger. Josh and I went to high school together and he is an alumni of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He was also a member of my organization, a native fraternity called Phi Sigma Nu, Inc. You can view pictures of Josh on our website at www.phisigmanu.com. We are truly saddened by his loss. I will keep everyone posted on any additional developments.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

    Derek

This came as quite a shocker yesterday afternoon.
Corwin, otherwise known as Thousand was one of the original Lodgers back in the days of wbs and go.com chat. Services were this past weekend. He will be missed.
