That was a crappy video. The guy shooting it could not even hold his phone steady. It took me half an hour to load that bit. Would have come better through the rope they hung him with than the phone line. Stupid dial up.

Nashville has over 8000 Kurds living here, and they were out dancing in the streets. I didn't even have the TV on- had been out working fence all day and was really tired and fixing to go to bed when I had three phone calls, 2 from Kurdish friends, one from an Iraqi Arab friend, all telling me about the execution and thanking God for it. I have alot of friends from Iraq, and have heard some horrendous stories about how they and their families suffered at Saddam's hands. Guess I'd be dancing too under those circumstances. The man was a murderer and just plain evil. I'd say justice was served.

Saddam should have been tried for ALL of the crimes he
committed, not just those committed against the Shias.
The gassing of Kurdish civilians and the use of poison gas
against Iran, in violation of the laws of civilized warfare
(if war can be called civilized) were even more serious
than the charges he was convicted on. I would have liked
to have seen him tried by an international tribunal--one
that included Iranians and Kurds. Although I suppose you
can not hang him more than once (it would be nice if you
could--he deserved it.)

I hope they get Osama bin Ladin, and I hope he gets the
same treatment. He's just as big a scumbag as Saddam was--
perhaps even bigger.

It would be the ultimate punishment against him because the fanatics blowing themselves up and falsely claiming Islam might think twice if their instant-paradise-for-martyrdom ticket could still be in jeopardy. It's the ultimate showing that we can defeat them even when we cannot kill them.

They fear no death, therefor killing them is not a threat. But if they believe we would stoop to condemn them into hell, perhaps we'd be on to something?

What's sad is that both Judaism and Islam have many of the same exact laws based on the same exact commandments and descended from two brothers. What happened to I Love You Brother and Brother I Got Your Back? At the end of life when both of them come before Yahweh/Allah, I hope His only question to them is, "So! How well DID you two boys GET ALONG ????"
