Gas went all the way down to 3.09 a gallon here. It's 2.99 in Oklahoma City right now they were sayin this morning.

Nah I didn't go. My best friend's son was named on Saturday so I went to the dinner/naming in Hominy. It was fun and I was stuffed by the time it was over. My mom went with me so we had fun getting some alone time to visit. Went to Draggin Grand on Friday night (car show where they show off the cars on our main street...like American Graffiti *L*)

Sunday I slept b/c I'm still freakin sick. Went to the Dr. today and they gave me an anitbiotic. BLEH! Hopefully I'm better by this weekend!!!

Had a yard sale, made some bucks and got rid of all that ol' stuff layin' 'round the house. Then went and saw Pirates of the Carribean, it was good, long ol' movie though.

Dang, always some dang ol' drama at some powwows. I'z just readin' some of the posts from Red Earth.

It just don't mix with NDN powwows and white folk venues. I been helpin' out with this powwow here in Spokane in the park downtown and the park security is always startin' somethin and then the powwow security has to be the one to make the apologies.

All I have to say is, I don’t pay to get into powwows, prolly why I’ll never make it to GON or Red Earth or Denver, simply cuz. It’s bad enough payin’ for parkin’ like at July’amsh and what not. I say, support your local tribal powwows held on tribal lands, despite the dust and the heat and the drunks, aye!

That way you don't have to sign no tax forms when winning, too!

Oh well, at least tomorrow is Wed and not Monday!

Yeah that's why alot of natives just don't do Red Earth. That has been an issue for years. The price to just get in the door. The only year I went I went with a friend at the time who's dad was in Yellowhammer...so I got one of those weekend passes (buttons..*L*) Actually I went twice I guess...the second time we only went one night and hit the nine. The nine was fun.....long ago...and oh so far away. *L*


Yeah I agree about native powwows/white venues....they don't mix. I prefer a tribal pow wow any day!

My fav is after a long hot day at the powwow grounds, and walkin' around in the dust and what not, is gettin' home or back to camp, then when you take your shoes and socks off and think you got a tan, but really it's just all the dust your legs have collected throughout the day!

btw, last night on my way home from work, my odometer hit 91,919....no camera though, aye!

Dang ol' car, I'mma hafta get rid of it one of these days. It's a Grand Marquis, but I call it the GM, short for the "General Manager", aye!
