  • Anyone know what tribe this comes from?

I'm usually pretty good at guessing...... but this time the flapper's headband stumped me.

In case you want to look at all the pics here is the link.

Ah, yes, the newest dance style... uh... flapper jingle shawl? I think that comes from the tribe of the Wa-ne-be

Lol, the rosettes remind me of Angela from project runway...

Ok, someone went nutts with their sewing room scraps? I see trim, left over yoyos, craft feathers, fleece triangles(perhaps quilt pieces). Is this dress for jingle or fancy? Maybe the person who made it tried their best and their grandchild cried their eyeballs out when they unwrapped it at xmas time? Its hard to tell if the necklace is shell or candy???

I think you all have it wrong. That's not a headband, it's a garter!

BJJB's question still stands, though, huh?

I think that top is made from a leotard....... it says it has stretch to it.

The feather goes on the side. (don't you watch old movies?)

It's the newest craze! A blend of the flapper, jingle, and Irish folkdance dresses all rolled into one! It's interchangeable!! You can dance the charleston, jingle, and a jig simultaneously! (How's THAT for convenience???)

LOL I still say they're scrunchies.
                          SHAKE IT!!!!

Maybe it's for that Jungle Dance category that rezin was talking about on the Lame Deer powwow thread?

I hope they at least washed the garter, before repurposing it as an injun headband???
